Rodarte World

>> I haven't been to that many err launches, dos and you know, fashion week thingies because I'm appropriately boring like that.  However, I did have to, have to drop by colette for Rodarte's curated gallery and shop that's on until November 7th.  I could wax lyrical about the exhibitoin itself all day but then I'd have to haul out my poor art critiquing skills and embarrass myself hideously so I'll be lame and predictable and just talk about their shop.  What I will say is that Alexandre de Betak (their ongoing set designer/collaborator)'s mini set of the S/S 09 show is pretty awesome as are David Benjamin Sherry's photographs.

So shop shop shop, buy buy buy as afterall, this is an exhibition/shop in colette…

  1. ahhhh how much do I want to be wrapped up in some of that knitwear…it makes me want winter to come that much sooner!
would also love one of those rag dolls to adorn my bed 🙂 but the googly eye background is a little too scary….

  2. I was in Colette for the first ever time, ever on Monday. Felt like a department store really…probably because it kind of is I guess. Bit disappointing, after all the build up and anticipation…anyway. Moral of the story is, never get your hopes about anything and you’ll go through life remaining forever content.

  3. I’m not a huge Rodarte fan but those flats are definitely something I can get behind.

  4. OMG! I can’t choose between the FABULOUS soles, knits and the dolls! I am solely overdosing on this post, it’s CHIC FABULOUS!!!!:))

  5. Those flats are so cool! Love the swirls, they are unique, but the grey makes them very wearable.

  10. I want to wrap myself up in their cobwebby knit mufflers and sit in the corner and cuddle those dolls all day. I love how crafty those Mulleavy sisters are.

  11. I love those Repetto shoes so much! I’ve been looking for some Repetto flats and those are perfect…BAH but $ value IS SO MUCH LESS THAN EURO…soooo bad…………

  12. I do love those Repetto flats. (I’m all about flat shoes this morning!) The rag dolls are great! I’m so bad when it comes to buying pretty things I don’t need so I’m pretty sure I’d come out of that shop with something! 🙂

  13. diabolique,hand-made rag dolls and kooky knits…woohoo!! i really appreciate their spirit.
