Thanks to Tommy of Jak and Jil, I got to do my favourite thing at New York Fashion Week quite unabashedly – fabric fingering! Yeah, it's a rather uncouth term to apply to something as chaste as fabric but the whole point is with the right fabrics and textures, you get so egg-cited that it does veer into slightly questionable territory. Errr…. the less said about the, the better…
Tommy declared that Jeremy Laing's S/S 10 collection was very 'me' and he'd be right given the palette of nudes, greys and layers of sheer, mixing prints and textures with subtlety (ok, maybe the subtlety part is not so me but I can be trained!). But it was backstage, whilst dressers and models were snacking on pitta and humous, only then did I indulge in my aforementioned pasttime and truly get to grips with the choices of fabrics that Laing has gone for and so some of my favourite upclose deets ensued…
I think this would be a toned down version of ur usual style susie . But I’d like to see this coming from you as well . After all, you look great in pretty much anything ! 🙂

I want to fabric fingering too!! It´s such a feeling and gives you a whole new apprehension about the garment.
i have fabric envy.
my friend says i go to a state of rabid zen…totally zoned out to the world but internal sensory overload. ha!
