>> I'm not going to go all film review style with Coco Avant Chanel because basically I'm not Philip French, but I do have some thoughts that pretty much randomly played out like this in the duration of the film…
…God, there's quite a few women sitting in this cinema wearing Breton striped tees… way to go with originality Susie… though ultimately Audrey Tautou trumps everyone of course with her fisherman's striped tee and leaves us all feeling a bit silly…
…Alessandro Nivola speaks French???…
…It wasn't clear from the film that Adrienne was actually Gabrielle Chanel's aunt (though they were the same age and often mistaken for being sisters)… I heart warped age relations…I too have an aunt who's my age and it constantly freaks me out when I start thinking of the family tree…
…Must.Find.Cream.Silk.Pyjamas… they would surely protect me from the ickiness that is my rental pleather sofa…
…Damn, there's ONE question about that beloved material of mine and a singular instance of 'Boy's utterance of the key word 'Jersey' and then NOTHING more of this material in the film… where was Chanel buying up mountains of the stuff during the first world war and making it all up into nifty shifty dresses… jersey's fashion origins not at all sated…
Oh and my eyes are bleary with sleep and I'm being lazy with "This is what I wore" etc etc etc…. lalalala…

I LOVE HOW YOU PUT TOGETHER LOOKS. The black, the striper–PERFECT!
I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO LINK YOU!
*stripes.
You look gorgeous, I bet nobody’s as inventive as you are!!
I sooooo want that sequin skirt.
& pretty much everything else you’re wearing!
lovely, I really like the layered skirts. So that’s what they’re called, Breton stripes. Well if it’s any consolation, the way you wear it is miles away from unoriginal. 🙂
I love this outfit. You look adorable.
Oh the bow and shoes are definite win! I have to learn how to take good outfit photos
This is such a sweet outfit Susie!
You look very effortless and chic. It blows my mind a bit how good you are at layering, I find it so hard to pull off without feeling huge!
I truly love the fact that you are not afraid of fashion and twist it to reflect your personality to the fullest. Love it and the inspiration you provide….gorgeous outfit.
p.s. loving your hair too.
have a great week
The belt, the bow, the Breton stripes…love it.

You look so adorable-I love the outfit!
And I too have an aunt who’s my age and I can never understand the family tree so I call her my cousin : )
But I like this, cant wait to see the movie too!
Very excited to see this movie! Gotta figure out who I can drag with me to it…the fiance is definitely a no go…”What, no zombies?”
Haha I bought a Breton tee this vacation. I really don’t mind that everyone has it, though: it’s so comfy! Besides, I feel lucky now that the Netherlands is still a little behind on trends..
I love your outfit susie! i was also thinking whilst watching the film last night where’s all the designing at?? they showed like 10 mins of it–at the end…
It was an interesting film though and shot nicely.

Ah but it was beautifully shot – yes the scripting was a bit erratic but I just loved the moodiness of it all.
That is one GORGEOUS outfit Susie!!! I’m confident NO ONE wore their striped tee as ingeniously & beautifully as you 😉 Have yet to see this movie *sigh*
xx
I’ve yet to watch the film…but heym you look extremely beautiful here Susie.
I totally agree with you – I too found it strange that Boy mentioned the jersey, then it was left at that! Still, a very inspiring movie!
ah you look beautiful in these photos. lovely outfit.
Who are those shoes by. I went to the website of the showroom you posted but it doesn’t have the designer’s name? can u help?
^The shoes are like a few years old so I don’t think they would sell them anymore….
I’ve only just found (and added) your blog, and was shocked to see that my favorite blogger ever Ms. Luxirare has given you an item. Thanks for sharing the meticulous packaging and (wow) Truffle Honey (of course, what a touch… sigh…). I love your style and will continue to come.
I was also having raised eyebrows affixed with several huge question marks asking the same thing- ALESSANDRO NIVOLA speaks FRench??????????????
He actually learnt french for the role.
really cute 🙂 love the layers! very nice skirt.

Cute look, Susie. Any photo of Audrey? I hear her. 😀
