Thoughts for Peggy

1) Peggy Noland emailed me to say that she was a fan of the blog.  Eh?  In between designing costumes for C.S.S's Lovefoxx, Tilly and the Wall and Ssion and manning her shop in Kansas City, she looks at my blog?!?!  I'm always a little freaked out by people actually working in fashion reading the blog.  It's like they might suss me out and discover that I'm in fact a huge fashion fraud and know jack shit about what I'm talking about.  Peggy's email however felt like she wanted to give me a big bear hug over the internet.

2) After seeing Zana of Garbage Dress's snap of Peggy I feel, she should definitely hook up with Yayoi Kusama and make inflatable, polka dotted clothing.  Preferably made out of that lush-smelling plastic that swimming toys are made out of (I inhale that kind of plastic crap and get mighty high kicks out of it…).

3) Peggy may well be the most out there designer in Kansas City.  I gather the walls of her store are covered entirely plush toys. I'm still hoping though there might be some crazy ruby slipper lady out there who makes nothing BUT ruby slippers in all different styles and materials.

4) I'm wondering if I could somehow make her oversized reversible nappies (diapers to US-ers) work on my non-baby self?

5) Peggy actually prompted me to start planning an emergency trip to Berlin because shamefully, it's one of those places I've never been to and annoyingly, EVERY person I tell that to has the exact same reaction "It's such a YOU city!  You HAVE to go!".  Seeing as this city is apparently is right up my street, why HAVEN'T I been?  Me thinks it's down to not booking Ryanair at the right times.  It will happen because…

6) …I simply have to visit Peggy's store that she has opened up in Berlin (Mainzer Str. 15, 10247 Berlin – Friedrichshain) in a teensy tiny space that she has made the most of.  It would be an experience just sitting inside the store let alone trying on any of the clothes.  Sadly, this fleeting polka dot nook is only open until the end of August hence why I went on a Berlin-flight frenzy.  I'm calling upon the airmiles of relatives to help me out here…
