Spooning into the Saloon

>> Another Copenhagen retread that makes it all the more shameful that I couldn't actually make it over there.  One of the Danes that I always keep a beady eye watch over is Moonspoon Saloon who presented their S/S 10 White Crane collection with a film instead of show.  I'm impressed they got LA electro outfit We Are the World to star and soundtrack the short and will therefore forgive Moonspoon for not being able to see the clothes properly.

These lookbook images clear up that problem though and it's actually a girlier affair than what I expected considering Sara Sachs the designer was inspired by ancient warfare.  I'm guessing she has taken some ancient Chinese motifs and worked them into floopy dresses, oversized jumpsuits and  errr….a PVC raincape.

  1. The clothes are pretty cool, but its the photos themselves that I really love. 🙂

  2. Good Lord girl, how on earth do you manage three posts in a day and do a full-time job?! Incredible.
    Spectacular as always.
    🙂

  3. I really reaaaaallly like this stuff.
Sometimes I wonder if I should even post comments like this. Are they really helping anything or aiding the discussion? I mean, it’s true, I really do dig a lot of these outfits, but why make a comment about it? Just sayin’. Anyone with me?
I prefer when comments become a discussion or give advice, something…

  4. Love the first two (especially the silhouette of the first pic), and that jumpsuit in the last row is incredible! 🙂
    xx

  5. I really like the fourth look down on the right. It sort of looks like an owl, but then I thought that wouldn’t match the theme of ancient warfare. Owls don’t seem that dangerous – haha. Thank you for your inspirational posts. I don’t comment very much, but I love to read them when I need a little inspiration. I linked you on my blog at http://www.darrahsdresser.com for a sudo blog challenge. I’m requesting that some of my favorite bloggers discuss the future of fashion journalism. I’m very curious to hear what other writers think about treading these very thin waters.

  6. The 4th outfit makes me wanna wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh hiiii-yaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  7. the first black cape/poncho/whatever, the bronze dress next to it, and the last gold & black jacket are especially awesome.

  10. Alexandra: Fair point and it’s true that I only really respond when I feel there’s something pertinent to say back…. I guess though there’s kind of no point in closing comments on some posts and opening them up for others…. nobody after all is FORCED/COMPELLED to comment unless you’re a spammer…

  11. These clothes are so awesome, it’s a shame I know somebody like me would look plain stupid in them 🙁
