It always blows my mind how people who clearly have more important things to do than to do in their professional and personal lives take the time to illustrate my outfits, my mug and give a whole new perspective on how they see me. Or more often than not, I come off looking more fantastic than how I normally do under the harsh light of reality. In this particular case, I literally have all kinds of magical things going on… colours, splashes and actual diamonds (as opposed to the fake ones on my tee). This is all courtesy of Esra R√∏ise, a Norwegian illustrator whose work you might recognise from Nylon.
Her portfolio mostly comprises of the kind of girls that I used to think I could draw in my head but then on sketchpad would turn into an absolute mess. It's bows, Mickey Mouse ears, beautiful locks and err… ripped up tights. She has the Nylon niche all sorted with her drawing style and long may she continue to get pencil-happy for them. Of course my eyes are drawn to the photo/illustration collaborations especially and hopefully she gets to do more of them too.
