>> It literally brings a super cheesy, super giant grin to my face each time Angie from I Heart Norwegian Wood shoots me an email to keep me updated with what's going on… from our early email exchanges last year that resulted in a frothy lingerie-esque cage skirt, she's come a long way and there are so many more exciting things to come that I'll leave her to reveal.  Her latest project is an interesting one.  The fine eye at Shrimpton Couture has picked up on Angie's talent and has commissioned her to create four super lux harnesses and two special necklaces that will be debuting on the Shrimpton Couture website very soon, with Angie introducing each piece in great detail, going through how she crafts her pieces on the Shrimpton Couture Blog.  In line with the eclectic, rich in detail vintage pieces that Shrimpton Couture gathers up for the site, Angie has given her harnesses a slew of finely tuned deets that are more in line with my own magpie tastes… spikes, pleats, lambskin elastic, fringing, feathers… more is more… layer away those embellishments on the harnesses and let me bung it over a crappy tee and some old mum trousers and people will be blinded by the detailing to see the shittyness going on underneath… yes, blinded indeed…

**EDIT** So pre-orders for Angie's couture harnesses are now open on Shrimpton Couture with the tulle/leather one already sold out!  The full range of four harnesses and two necklaces are up… and they're as breathtaking as one might expect… I too want to lots of little baby plastic belt fasteners running up my body…

  6. OK the large format of the blog is awesome, but in this instance, when it’s my own mug staring back at me, it’s a bit terrifying. Definitely time to start allocating budget to a real model!
    Kidding aside, thanks so much for the support Susie, I’m glad I bring a goofy grin to your face 🙂 Just wait till you see the rest of the pieces, I’m saving the best harness for last (in my opinion)

  7. I moaned and moaned for ages about wanting a harness and there were none out there (except in sex shops) and no-one was interested. Then Angie picked that up I was really excited as my own attempts were piss poor – but I have to say there is a *teeny* wee part of me now wishing they were still the domain of sex shops since even the most prim and girly girls are wearing them now and I can’t move for them. But of course, Angie has taken it to a different level thankfully. The studded leather one is just perfect.

    I would never have thought a harness could be used in fashion, although you’ve just proved me wrong, and all in all, it looks quite good.

  35. Ha ha, Susie, you’re killing me! The last pic especially, I was dubious to send it, but it really showed off the harness the best!
    I also thought you’d like those little clips 😉 I’m going to post the detail pics on the Shrimpton blog on Monday, you’ve got to see all the little pearls I sewed on the shoulders (they’re so sweet) and a close up of the vintage elastic, it’s pretty amazing! (part sheer, part puffy textile)
