>>I'm trying to make a point of revisiting the collections that I wore in the Metro shoot and in particular, Kasia Bishop's collection which she showed yesterday at the Ravensbourne show. Inspired by a combination of pop-up books and Hitchcock, the collection as a whole didn't overkill the beautiful lazer cut-outs which I was lucky enough to wear as Kasia used it in the right places; namely the 'pumpkin' skirt and dress. She also employed it in a smokey grey latex/rubber on a black coat, that was moved like a very 'sexy jelly' (to quote menswear designer Tim Soar…sorry, can't get that phrase out of my head…).
Another collection that employed cut-outs well was Rosie Keating's who showed as part of the Manchester show. Shamefully, I missed this one and I couldn't get hold of her portfolio either but I think the contradiction of the skulls and the medieval references in her styling says it all….
I really love this sketches!!!

These remind me so much of paper cutouts, a crafty I really suck at. Those skulls are amazing.
I LOVE Rosie Keating’s dresses! Thanks for covering this.
They are beautiful- very Day of the Dead. But they remind me awfully of this…

it seems very cocoon-ish
i’m not sure i like it much :/
oh yes,
I have to agree with Sarah.
It does remind me of that long tee. Probably a coincidence
day of the dead is actually one of the ‘trends’ for Topshop right now. Or it’s one they’re bringing out soon (I’m on placement at one of their suppliers, FYI)
I love how Kasia Bishop mixed the sexy cut-outs with those fun shapes. And I just plain love the 2nd collection in this post!
Dia de los Muertos!!!!

meggings…mankinis…what’s worse than to be labeled a ‘Herbivorous Man’ in Japan?
Kasia’s designs are gorgeous, remind me of those outrageous 3d paper sculptures used in old fashioned window displays…
Day of the dead yes…. but sooooooooooo very alive!
