>>The digital printed theme of the weekend continues to flourish and I know it's very poor form to double post on a designer who I only wrote about a few days ago but some of you were enchanted by Tian Wang's work and wanted to find out more as did I.  A website has been unearthed but getting images off it isn't an easy task… still it's worth screencapping Tian's entire glorious graduate collection that incorporates more structural shapes than what I had previously thought.  The prints are more distorted, shattered and complicated than what I had in mind at first.  Altogether, her collection has exceeded my expectations to the point where I'm wondering why this collection wasn't shown in the final London College of Fashion press show (though I gather the selection process is a brutal one…).  As for previous comments on it reminding them of Christopher Kane's resort collection… well… timing wise, it would all be a bit wrong seeing as Tian Wang started working on this long before Kane even started thinking of resort and technically this collection was completed long before those Style.com pics hit the net.  We shall see what other inevitable comparison surfaces seeing as I'm glad to say  Tian is going to try and carry on working on her own label…

  5. how exciting to follow a designer from the start, i agree with malemode, i can see these prints as menswear too! i love the makeup as well, the nude cheeks and thick brows work so well

  10. thank you for sharing (once again) because i am so much more in love with these pieces than i am with the christoper kane ones.
    these have beautiful form and structure whereas CK was a bit of a cop out relying too much on the awesome print.

  11. Christopher Kane’s resort was cool and all that but Tian Wang’s prints are miles better.
