These aren't pics from observation sadly and I was bummed that I didn't get to go to LF Markey's casual press presentation of her A/W 09 collection which I posted about a while back and sneak peeks of her S/S 10 wares as well as… her pieces for ASOS.  Yup, she's one of MANY designers that ASOS have roped in for A/W 09 (the list is killing me with its immense-ness but I can't say anything…) for their designer collab onslaught.  They've jumped on that gravy train that Topshop do so well and the people they have enlisted are wicked so it remains to be seen whether the actual products will live up to the anticipation.  That's another subject to be expanded on closer to the time.

Anyhow…. Louise Markey is someone who I've admired right from her CSM MA collection for her imaginative colour combinations and simple shapes that let those colours do all the talking.  Rails and hanging outfits demonstrate that perfectly when contrasted against the dark wood panelling.

Then I saw from the pics why I was too busy with work to drop by the
presentation.  It was a someone from above forseeing the future where I
would steal these navy/cream satin wooden mules.  I've been waiting for
an 'ugly' shoe to hit me with lust.  I just didn't think I'd find them
at LF Markey…

  1. damn the heel on those mules are the bomb diggity…haha they remind me of bridesmaid’s shoes gone loco…is it strange that when i see them i picture them belonging to a psychotic bridesmaid that ends up slaughtering the entire wedding party….hmmm…

  2. Those shoes are indeed lust-worthy, as is every clothing item in this post. I love LF Markey!

  3. Those really are some outstanding color pairings. I’ll have to stash that image so I can try to recreate a few … I mean, until the ASOS line is available, of course.

  4. yay, someone else with ugly shoe lust! well, ugly anything lust really 😀
