I don't have a whole host of information about Anne-Sophie Hotot with nothing but a Facebook page and a Japanese interview to her name on Google. The one bit of telling information I do have is that she is currently working for Richard Nicoll and has launched her debut collection for A/W 09 collection. I was intrigued by her work when I saw it at the Blow press day because it is a minimal and refined addition to Blow's otherwise eclectic and colourful client portfolio. An LCF-grad, originally from the North of France she has applied contrasts of harsh and soft and light and heavy to her collection. Despite the cleanliness of lines, upclose there's still a fair amount of detailing to be found, and the choice of fabrics make the pieces wonderfully tactile. There are traces of Hotot's work experience with Nicoll but only ever so slightly, with something even more strict and refined about her work.
Hot for Hotot
you know what i can’t get my head around, is how many designers there are out in the world. i mean is this a new phenomena. are these micro-lines? or is the internet and people like you just finally making all this more obvious?! i love it.
If she’s working for Richard Nicoll, she’s getting very very valuable experience and it looks like its already paying off!

Lovely fabrics and clean lines.
I love the third picture, and she has such a cute name!
Ah, love the paneling and the shoes. The exposed zipper really draws the eye in as well. I like it.
The last dress is a dream! Coveting intensely.
The silhouettes are incredible for these dresses! I love simplistic dresses that deceive.

susie, this is the find of 2009!
I like the paneled-on-paneled dress/shoes combo in the first picture. It does tone-on-tone one better. Or maybe several better.
this is more like it. More of new designers with ingenious designs and who are willing to push the boundaries. Liking her work alot, will have to check it out. If I can find anything 😀
Thanks for sharing Susie
