This reminds me of the time I tried to make a skirt from Starburst wrappers. Except of course, infinitely better.
god they couldnt be any more amazing if they tried!
This is art on high level! Impressive!
WOW…these are proper impressive! I bet the detail is mind-blowing up close. I love her a bit too much… x
The black one is paper? Wow! I’m incredibly in awe
I don’t know how you keep coming up with all of these original things. I love your blog, it’s simply great. xo
the origami texture reminds me of united bamboo’s spring collection last year. if i had the luxury of having a mini wardrobe full of un-wearable, one-of-a-kind pieces, this paper dress along with the junya watanabe paper trench would both be top picks.
i really like the shapes ; very interesting ; i could wear this dress … 😉

I like pretty much everything about these. I’d totally wear them if I wasn’t worried about a sudden downpour leaving me in my underwear!
These are stunning!
where are you?! I want to see these pieces!
Oh god, these are superb! I love the construction of these. The (very) modern revival of the 60s paper dress! Love it, and everything this designer does.
Aaaaahhh Sandra Backlund! I love her so much! D:
I bet if i wore the dark spiky dress into battle, nobody would fire at me because they’d think the bullets would ricochet… irony saves lives, tru fax. http://mimestyle.blogspot.com/
Backlund never ceases to amaze me. This are so wonderful. I actually ‘Wow-ed’ at the screen.
that white one is probably still my favorite of hers. so many killer pieces.
Uber cool! They must give wicked paper cuts though.
This is amazing! I really like Sandra Backlund’s work
amazing pieces! i love them all.
Wow, these dresses are mind-boggling. They must be very labour-intensive…I can’t imagine wearing one, I’d most definitely be clumsy and rip it within the first few minutes!
Unbelievable… She’s definitely the M.C. Escher of fashion. Must be even more amazing in person…
Breathtaking. The white one would make a magical wedding dress!!

i so want her dresses since i first saw them. I think they’d be the perfect dress for my next performance..but are they wearable? they look fragile yet very rigid
anyway, i love your blog. Found it through a friend of mine, Nikicio.
