Gasp! A non fashion week related post? Surely not! Actually why not is the question… I'm sure about 40% of readers here aren't avidly clicking on catwalking.com to check to see whether shows have gone up or indeed, will even start caring about A/W 09-10 until…well…A/W09-10.
Anyhow I managed to pry these pics off Phil of Streetpeeper who I'm sharing an apartment with in a cliched part of Paris where I have a view of the Tour Eiffel and the lift is a bit of a human deathtrap. On my last day of New York, after licking grease and butter off my fingers at Popeyes (you guys were right… it's bloody amazing…), back to Bushwick, Brooklyn we went to raid Phil's wardrobe. It has been somewhat of a revelation living with Phil to see another kind of male wardrobe…one accumulated on whimsy like mine is but also edited in a way mine isn't. Of course, Phil's foraging ground spans the earth as he frequently travels to Tokyo and is a keen consignment store hawk when in New York. A fervent reminder that I too need to take a much-needed trip to Tokyo again for a SERIOUS forage…
Save for shoes, I pretty much would and could wear all of Phil's clothes… as you can see, quite a different effect from wearing the even more tightly edited wardrobe of Style Salvage Steve…
Tsumori Chisato cardi (had no idea they even did menswear… ), Junko Shimada cream and pink knitted polo, Vivienne Westwood checked breeches, Jeremy Scott x Longchamp bag
Marios sweatshirt (look a little closer at the embroidery….!) // Tsumori Chisato lion print polo shirt
Bernhard Willhelm shirt worn with the vintage Miss Selfridge floral trews…
Peter Jensen blue sequinned jumper that can be turned into a bow (!!!), Comme des Garcons polka dot shirt, H&M pj polka dot bottoms
Cosmic Wonder Light Source cape (Phil hasn't figured out how to wear it yet… a whimsy buy that I might nab off him…)
Vintage hat, APC jacket, PJ bottoms
I love your floral trews! And those PJ bottoms!
Amazing looks. You carry it all off very well. Especially loving the print on the polo shirt. Boys wardrobes are such fun!

Ooh! I’d love to raid Phil’s wardrobe!!! Love seeing you wear those Marni wedges we have in common, may wear them to my friend’s wedding 🙂 So I seem to have lost track, where are you at the moment? I thought Phil was in Chicago? (please forgive me if I’m totally wrong 😉
xx
The way you turned that jumper into a bow is inspirational. You look adorable.
the comme des garcons polka dot shirt is just brilliant, and I love the outfit with the creepers.
Love the Marios sweatshirt and polka dot outfit. Phil has an awesome wardrobe and I love the unique slant of the post!
the first outfit is my favorite, very delicate color combination and I find genial the mix of different grafik pattern…a poetry!
Wowie wow wow, his clothes and the outfits you created with them are amazing! I love them all. 🙂
haha, I’ve basically lived in that A.P.C jacket this winter.. it’s really weird seeing you wearing it given I’ve never seen anyone else with it and because you’re like a celeb these days haha 😉 looks good on you, i think you should ‘borrow’ it..

Looks like you guys had tons of fun coming up with outfits, I think this is just the sort of thing I need to do to get out of a winter funk. A little experimentation and mind opening is in order!
as all of my foregoing commenters I love those floral threws!!
The red shirt and bow made me laugh – very creative looks. Love them all.
u look so cute with the vintage Miss Selfridge floral trews…

All of these looks are lovely, I’m in love with the TC lion print polo!
this is an adorable post – i’d love to steal his wardrobe too!
ps, your outfit on facehunter is adorable. but you alredy knew that…
I hear ya bout the ‘death lifts’. There is one in an old house around here that gives tours, and it is enough to turn your hair grey early!
Oh, but I love the outfits! Loving that little cape, and adore all the shoes of course (obsessed with, addicted to…).
love the last look….so cute!!
Have descended into a bout of feverish covetousness!

speaking of catwalking.com what is going on? i can’t access it anymore as they changed the password on me. too cheap to pay for it now. sigh.
SO CUTE in every outfit!
Didn’t know Tsumori did menswear either! Tsumori+Junko.. I’d like to raid his wardrobe.
xx-LJ from SOS!

If Phil has roommates, he’s probably constantly on the look out for missing items, being that his wardrobe is splendid on both man and woman.
fun challenge…looks great on you!!
i spotted you!

Ah, a boy wardrobe with some guts, I like it! Most guys I know get squeemish when you mention ‘pink’, ‘purple’ or even ‘polka dots’.
And thanks for the perspective on the AW craze – you’re right, I don’t care much. I’m just starting to get excited about SS09!
it is so amazing girl!!
ilove your blog!
his wardrobe is amazing so colourful and eccentric, i like. The last look and the Bernhard Willhelm look is my favourite.
love the polka dot. your style is phenomenal!
SUCH a fun warderobe. i love so many of these pieces
I adore you Susie, you’re the only one who can run about with the most insane outfits and look like a beautiful, mad genius. Those marni shoes are haunting my dreams. I might just break out my creepers for some outfit experiments.
love, China L.
just saw your pic on facehunter… can i just say… WOW! you are rocking the shit outta those pants. and paired with your steve and joni p jacket… bloody outta this world!
Really awesome looks!
my belly rumbled, then i read your post and you spoke of the yummy popeyes which has made me crave it. Right now I wish i could fly to new york and get me some popeyes chicken because it is actully the bomb. omg. their food is too good, i had it 3 times in the 6 days day i was in ny a couple of weeks a go. when i got back to london my face broke out..not nice!
anyway, you rock phil’s wardrobe…like you always do 😉
What an amazing wardrobe! And considering this is just a selection of his clothes. SO jealous…one day I’ll have the money to have such beautiful clothes.
The polka dot outfit is killer! But…doesn’t SS Steve feel weird that you’re wearing Phil’s clothes??? I’m not even the jealous type but that would make me feel a bit …funny!
What a wardrobe!!! What a fun opportunity!
I really really want to rob Phil’s wardrobe.
your style is truly heinous. no wonder real fashionistas stick up their nose at you.
yes, Phil’s wardrobe is amazing! I like the bag in the first pic.
What a cool wardrobe! filipino has their own style when it comes to fashion.
That’s my old apartment!!! HAHA. What up Eliot and Hi to Phil whom I’ve never met. I love your website and look at it all the time. So weird to see you in my old place. WEIRD!
i love the last two looks – your pairing of battling plaids in the last one is quite excellent! and of course i am IN LOVE with your vintage ferragamo varas in the last pic. i’ve just recently discovered the vintage ferragamos and am completely, utterly, obsessed!
liked d bag in d 1st pic…
Very cool fashion!
Ultra-cool wardrobe. Yep, that’s the word I was looking for to say. I’m so jealous but right now I’ve to be content on what I have and make use of my ingenious, creative and wonderful brain to come up with a style in my old current clothes, and top it off with some accessories to make a newer look. In time, I might be able to buy the luxury brands. Haha, I do have a fetish for designer labelled goods, you know.
