I so enjoyed being encased and wrapped up in Sachio Kawasaki's graduate collection cape, dress, tights and shoes for the Fashion156 shoot last year that I of course wouldn't mind doing it all over again in this ensemble from his latest A/W 09 collection which was presented as part of Japan Fashion Week. A more delicate and sellable collection than his graduate one but still playing with oscillating wavy lines and a monochrome palette, complete with the most attainable, yet all important component – printed tights!
Encased by Kawasaki
WOW: you look beyond amazing. mermerizing. i love it. its so fun with avantgarde pieces.
Very interesting designs.
You look fantastic!
oh moi loves it!!
Don’t want to trip on your shoes in that outfit, haha. It is really beautiful, though. Great lines. xo
Very Art Nouveau
I love Kawasaki, truly a FORWARD thinker/designer, i absolutely love the collection

That looks like what i would want to wear on a windy day.
Beautiful prints and what a wonderful silhouette on the cape (?) coat (?) thing. It’s too bad that Japan Fashion Week is added on to the schedule as an afterthought. I love learning more about these designers…
I just admire his wicked creation!!
Great talent!

Those tights are fantastic I want them NOW!
You looked great in that shoot and I love that cape you’re wearing.. Not sure I could actually wear it though, looks like something I might find a bit claustrophobic (I’m such a wuss!)
I’ve found Kawasaki a little confusing, even more so after his Fall 09 presentation. The construction is quite mature, yet the application of his print certainly isn’t. Creates a bit of a contrast, as the younger breed of consumer will be more drawn to your Braganza’s & Schwab’s of this world. Well, in my opinion.
Very interesting. I love the colors and the design of them, but not sure how I feel about the application. It looks great, but not really practical at all. I would love the see those prints on something else more wearable.
But you do look amazing in the picture!
Wicked Plum Vintage
Um, those tights alone are spectacular!
You look fantastic in that photo! And I really like the prints chosen, especially on the tights.
oh you look amazing in that shoot I love the clothes on you better than the model.
Love the rigidity of the first and then the softer contours of the second.
/Cillian.
the pic looks great. they did a great job with the make up.
You look gorge Susie! What amazing designs! 🙂
xx
Wow. Monochrome is indeed the word. Lovin’ the clean lines.
Amazing. You look stunning x
People always talk about ‘wearability’ or ‘practicality’…which is a little obtuse really, as it depends on circumstances & taste. All I would dare delve into suggesting is that girls want originality & individuality, ultimately they want to feel confident & possibly even sexy by what they wear. For themselves…nobody else, which is why I just find the construction a little off. Although, it does introduce some stimulating perceptions on form or shape. But ye…certainly encased, highly restrictive.
you look really pretty. love the outfit. im sure it wouldn’t work on me haha but i like the tights
Its a strait jacket in a pretty pattern, slightly sinister not remotely wearable. What possible application could it have? Though shoes that effectively hobble people are hailed as the last word in high-style chic, can we please draw the line at a tube which binds the wearer from neck to knee.
Well, maybe it’s cozy on the couch? Though I would need to be able to reach my tea…
The tights are awesome!
both looks are amazing. I love the tights in the second photo.
so great!!! I am so glad he got to show at JFW this year and so lovely that piece of his that you’re wearing!!

I love it! So architectural. I like that the tights are a little bit more delicate and feminine to play up the dominating wavy lines in the clothing.
Quite marvelous! You and the outfit. Does anyone know where these clothes can be purchased?
