When I last wrote about Parisian label Baron Baronne, I did say I’d do some extra investigation and so in October, I went to check out the S/S 09 collection at Tranoi to see what they had in store… what I found was a natural progression from their last collection of quirky, slightly off-sized tailoring in pale blue and bordeaux. In fact the tailored pieces have gone softer, a little more fluid and is reminiscent of the relaxed tailoring that people were so very fond of in the early 90s’… something in the trousers and the way the jackets fall. Except of course the colours pack more of a punch, especially the royal blue, and the fabrics far more refined and when paired with chiffon panelled nude tops, the effect is that the tailoring not at all intimidating. I may even be likely to be converted to wearing a trouser suit, having never worn one before. The relaxed fit extends to the dresses as well.
I also love the illustration element they have incorporated this season… like random dot to dot drawings that you doodle on a notepad with the cream silk acting as the perfect backdrop.

… and there’s the blazer i was looking for!
“Relaxed tailoring” – Great way to illustrate this brand, and other brands with similar aesthetics! I really love that nude and blue top with the knot detail.
This is really not my style, but I kind of love it–especially the dress with the blue socks.
Hello Style Bubble, I’m following all your posts (RSS addict), and I discovered BaronBaronne from you since a past blog post you refers to.
I took all catalog and ambiance photos you’re showing us in this new post and I must say that your way of describing this collection is very close of the true feeling. Words are well choosen.
I invite you to visit my facebook page and see the video that came from this shooting.
Cheers all.
I really like those blue trousers and the left outfit in the last row. Good stuff.
the garments just look so.. comfortable!
The colours are mouth-wateringly delicious, and the prints have almost got me dribbling. The shapes are a bit off for me, but you can’t have everything eh?
I was sad to see your departure from Fashion156 by the way (your shoes have been very adequately filled however, with Michelle from KOS) – how come you have left those shores?
its very interesting to see that the cuttings of the patterns make the clothes seem like its inside out, but with the soft tones of the fabric makes it quite refreshing to look at.
Love royal blue, love relaxed tayloring, love fluid slinky pieces…these have it all!
It’s elegant but not boring. The blue royal pleated pants seem to fit like a glove.
I like the doodles.
This is lovely, are we going to see you in it more importantly?!
I particularly like the relaxed tux jacket.

I love the pleated blue pants, the dress with the blue socks, the silk peach and red pocket top – if I was a young or even middle-aged professional I’d be all over this label!
These pieces are really fascinating me. On the one hand, the shapes and fabrics seem like they’d be really unforgiving on anything but a very thin frame, but then when I look again, they seem like they could be quite a flattering fit on most anyone.
Hey lady! I remembered a post you had about a dress on ebay and you didnt get it.
I was wondering if it was this one:

i love it the colours offset the relaxed look so well. such a great line
the silk dresses remind me of NZ designer Cybele right away. Have you checked her out before? Gorgeous stuff but a little too pricy for me.

Oh I love this! It’s awesomely boyishly cute.
these clothes are really really cooL! thanks a lot for sharing
NICE!!!
A couple of pieces excepted, I have to say that these are super-unflattering shapes – and apparently deliberately so, why? Those trousers, those shapeless tops: eurgh! It’s a really elitist approach I think – the sort of thing that only ultra-cool/gorgeous people could wear as the rest of us can’t handle how shite we’d look! The designers seem like they can’t be bothered to actually measure and work with real bodies that go in and out and have waits and breasts… It’s like they’re designing clothes that shouldn’t be worn – but yet don’t have serious craft/art value either. Not for me!
Dear Jay
I do not know if you make a size 60 at least to say this.
Exactly BaronBaronne is known by the comfort and the quality of its pieces. I was with them in Barcelona and I saw people buying of any type of persons, any type of social, quite typical circles of sizes, men women in more his prices are far from being enormous. To consider a jacket cashmere made in France is in 357euros in shop.
Be a little more educated Sort of moron
I have recently lost a good amount of weight using acai berry and colon cleanse pills and have created a blog documenting my use of it.
However, I would also like to try out the Wu-Yi weight loss teas and document my progress with that as well.
The problem is i have heard some bad things about these teas. Has anyone tried them? Did you suffer from any of the side effects?
