I didn’t really have much time to walk around PROPERLY but seeing as the weather is truly gorgeous here in San Francisco, the streets actually BEG to be walked on. I didn’t expect to buy anything 3 hours after landing here but at Crossroads Trading Co. on Fillmore Street, a $20 buy came in the form of these pink Salvatore Ferragamo shoes. Ok, so I have only nailed ONE element of an outfit for $20…one step at a time…once I start hitting up Mission and all the thrift goodies there, we shall see what will ensue there…
So it begins…

welcome! good luck with that thrifting down in the mission. all of the ones suggested the other day are great, but what i forgot to say is to expect to do a tiny bit of looking around in said thrifts…it does take a small bit of effort, but there are definitely gems to be found. you’re bound to find *something*. it’s a great neighborhood to walk around and eat in, if nothing else.
looks like you might be in japantown (judging from the background of this shot and the fact you mentioned you were near fillmore)? if so, there’s a big “mall” there with lots of japanese restaurants and the like, and some shops., including a large japanese bookstore, kinokuniya.
The perfect shade of pink!
these shoes are so pretty, goes well with the spider tights, a great buy I reckon.
That’s fab for 20. Nicely done.
it looks like the backs are black patent?! that’s awesome.
i love how the bold colors contrast with the simple shape.
have you ever noticed that people who buy ferragamo shoes (at retail) are like *obsessed* with them? usually when i’m shopping it’s in someone else’s closet, so i notice that ladies who are into ferragamo buy like 300 pairs of them.
i’ve been meaning to list some recently as i have a ton in my closet that are all unworn (another tendency of ferragamo-lovers – buy 10 of the same pair, never wear them).
Aww they ran out of that color of socks when I came around to buying them, but I go this color instead:

God those could have been made for you! You love pink, you love Ferragamo – perfect!
Here in Italy they say recession is coming but still sell things for crazy amount of money (cause – hey – it’s made in Italy!)…no thrift stores and not so much open minded people around here…Please, be my thrifting muse!
nice shoes!esp pink and black, gud mix!
Are you going to Thrift Town? That’s the one I’ve always wanted to go to when/if I visit S.F. I’m so excited to see your finds!
Clarion Alley Block party in sf tonight (sat)! you should come for the sf flavor your eyes desire
ask the nearest taxi driver to take you to Clarion Alley, parallel to 17th street, between Valencia and Mission
Welcome! Good luck with that thirsting down in the mission. All of the ones suggested the other day are great, but what I forgot to say is to expect to do a tiny bit of looking around in said thrifts

oooh, great buy!
Ok, I know this about the shoes, but boy do I want those stockings.
I have a real thing for halloween stockings at the moment.
Can’t believe the shoes only cost 20!
yes, hot ferragamo pink score! SF is magical, it’s true.
Wow you sure have hit the road running! It had to be pink!
I remember those spider tights!!! from an old photo, that is.
It’s probably one way to tell when you’ve spent a lot of time on a fashion blog, if you can actually remember the earlier appearances of elemsnts of te blogger’s outfit (like the puffball dress two/three posts ago, I still remember the post about it that said you were worried about it taking up too much space on the Tube).
I should shut up now..
Oh San Francisco how I miss you.
Last time I was there I found a great thrift store in the Mission where you pay buy weight instead of for each item. Amazing.
those shoes are so great!
Great price, great color, great brand, great buy!
aw man… i’m pink with envy!
“Clothes Contact” is the store where everything is sold by the pound. It’s located on Valencia at 16th, on the eastern side of the street. Probably the best place to stock up on slips.
I love those <3! Now you love these:http://www.hettyrose.co.uk/shoes/ <3
Yeah, that is a good deal, wow!
