Yay for the new balcony and a different kind of concrete mass going on behind me in my new hovel… gotta love industrial living. Now that I’m free from bleeding/sweating/crying (the verbs involved when embarking on moving to a new place…) I’m no longer shackled to scraggy t-shirts and old bits of jersey. I can once again embrace my clothes with all the attention they deserve. So now that I can physically SEE my clothes better, it’s high time to unearth some oldies… such as this Cacharel outfit (top and skirt) which I got about six years ago and used to wear quite obsessively thinking I looked cute, girly and approachable in my first-time uni days when it was all about first impressions (don’t ask me why I wanted so much to be that exact combination of adjectives at that point in life…). Anyhow, I’m not sure what Eley Kishimoto, who took over the Cacharel reins last season have got in store for their first Cacharel show during Paris Fashion Week in October but I’m thinking it’s far and away from my ancient ensemble here which for some might be a good thing. Either way, I’m easy to please…
(The tights are those V&R for H&M heart print ones which I never ever wore and they actually sat in their packet unopened and some Bertie tweed flats that again I used to wear quite excessively…)

You look like a work of art! I love it, head to toe. I’m also digging the industrial background. It’s a nice counterpoint to your feminine-ness. :]
that perfect pattern clash is making me so happy! aaaannddd.. where are you living now?!
Those tights are adorable.
I’m really liking the new balcony! Yay for new hovels! =) It’s so funny to look back and remember the things we were thinking when we bought certain items of clothing. I love the V&R for H&M tights!
ahh! typepad screwed up my wonderful comment! i was just commenting on how it’s funny to look back at things we bought and remember what we were thinking when we bought them! i also love the new balcony! nice backdrop for outfit posts. <3 and the tights are amazing!
You just took mixed prints to a whole new level for me. Brilliant!
Those colour combos are fantastic! I was thinking about trying gloral with stripes actually… I hope that one day I’ll have enough clothes to be able to rediscover things like you have. Good job!
I really love the pink and blue tweed together. The ditsy floral prints are cute, too.
Egads! I love this so much! Susie, you are my style icon and I really do mean it!
Love the mix of patterns and I can’t believe those tights sat in your wardrobe unworn, I love them!
ok first off, congrats on completing mission impossible..i moved 2 months ago and still wear the same things lol…the closet unpacking is daunting! second, how goes it over at dazed digital my love? i hate that they snatched you up before you could work with us over at dujour magazine haha, hope all is well…and last, you must be the face of my new collection. i will have it no other way! you model everyday, you can mode for me 🙂
i was just thinking how adorable you looked and that maybe that wasn’t something you would want to hear… till you said the cacherel was worn to look cute, girly and approachable in those uni days. haha. love the tights too!
quite like the skirt. the pic on the right is lovely with the three different patterns.
lovely outfit indeed. i like the pattern clash.
Glad to know the move’s finally happened..I’m with everyone above who says you look adorable (and cute, girlish and approachable are things that most first-years in college tend to want to look like- female first-years, that is). Either way, it’s a sweet little mashup and I’m looking forward to Eley Kishimoto for Cacharel- the two brands have a somewhat similar aesthetic..
