When people ask me ‘How do I walk in those?’ when referring to the bunch of heels that I buy because of instant lust, I have to admit that I wear them occasionally when I know that a taxi, flats in the bag and not too much walking will be involved. If it comes to heels that stand the wear and tear of all-day, everyday walking, there are only a handful in my wardrobe that qualify. I’m not deluded either. I actually knowingly buy heels with the thoughts of ‘I will only wear these a handful of times but I can’t resist because they’re oh-so pretty…’ running through my head. It’s usually pretty clear to me whether shoes are made for walking or teetering. Marcello Toshi’s shoes however look very much like they’re made for walking. I haven’t even seen them in person as they seem to only be stocked in the States and Japan but the AW08 lookbook is sending that vibe out to me and I just know that these are the sort of heels that you can walk, walk and walk on in…
Despite the non-European presence, me thinks the Chie Mihara vibe of these shoes (a brand that is a walker, not a teeterer…) is worth investigating into because whilst I lose my head sometimes when it comes to pretty shoes, sometimes I do need to do that thing called walking…

These are creating a lust problem for me right now.
They are completely fabulous! Especially the cream and burgundy strappy ones.
I know what you mean about heels, I bought a pair of patent, gunmetal-grey snub-toed oxfords with a towering heel today in TK-Maxx. I may not get a whole lot of wear out of them, but at only 45Euro and the fact that they are on now and I can’t stop admiring them make it all worthwhile.
Practical AND beauteous – a rare combination…
All are very pretty.
oh my god.
i think i just died a little bit.
i am in shoelove<3
thank you!
Oh no, you’re a bad influence!!! Seriously I think you might be the one to blame for the high heel obsession I’ve had lately. 🙂
oooh…I actually kinda like all of those! I’m the same though, I have racks of heels but hardly ever wear them. I do have a couple pairs I could wear all day but even then their still not practical for standing behind a cash register all day. Poo

at least the arches for these heels aren’t at a scary angle. love the brown ones with the tie at the back!
It’s true, I have a pair of Stuart Weitzman mushroom glove patent Oxfords that were purely a “look-at-how-pretty-they-are!” purchase.
BEST. SHOES. EVER.
i have deduced that, that “arched” heel is very very sexy indeed.
I love shoes, yet I also love my feet legs and hip, and spine. As a yoga teacher with a shoe fetish, I have become quite judicious in my choices. I know way too much about the body and what high heels to to the spine and posture, but again, I LOOOOOVE shoes.
I stay away from anything pointy, or with anything with too much of an angle. Fortunately, there are awesome shoes that work for me, platforms are the best answer, but I must admit, I fall for the impractical at times, especially when I know I will only have them on for a bit.
I just clicked on the Marcello Toshi site, and found some beauties, that I could totally enjoy in my own collection. No one sells that brand around these parts either though, not yet anyway.
I just do more yoga.
ah those are really nice!
i must say.. after not working in an office for a while, walking in heels has become very difficult. last friday i went out for a dinner and stroll in my heels and nearly died.
yes, that’s right died. it was so painful, that my feet hurt for three days.
i’m so out of practice.
Nice shoes with a sturdy looking heel – a perfect combination – although I cant walk in any type of heel full stop. What a wuss I am!
oooh lovely. xo
Lady C: I need to do the flats one day, heels the other to keep the feet in shape… though I heard that is bad for you…
Arline: Gosh I don’t even want to know what heels are doing to my posture since mine is already so effed up…
Giselle: I think it gets to the point where you’re not even thinking about the shoes on your feet, that’s when it stops hurting…
Love the ankle boot and last white(ish) strappy numbers – gorgeous

Ahhh, I want these shoes.
GREAT!! Would love to have a pair of those.
I was in Beyond the Valley today and having read your post yesterday I just happened to notice they carry a small selection of Toshi shoes – though sadly not the pair I want so badly 🙁 … although perhaps they can order in?!? Worth checking out methinks.
