Feathers Delivers

It’s a lusty sort of Friday and quite frankly it’s been so hectic this week that I can only soothe my head with more Feathered thoughts.  Today, it’s not about actual Feathers but the store in Knightsbridge, London where I coup-ed a lot of creamy goodness (literally the colour…).  As I said before, Knightsbridge is that funny part of town that teeters between being hilariously ridiculous/surreal and quite frankly irritating.  It certainly isn’t a place where I expect to find a roster of labels that include… and this is where Fantasy Friday mode kicks in because the stark reality is that the following are by and large mostly out of my grasp yet I’m impressed by the fact that all of this is nesting in an area of London that is usually a bit of a no-man’s land for me…

Nathan Jenden’s ruffled goodness – it’s white tissue galore…

Beautiful draping on a Haider Ackermann dress // Limi Feu (not a label oft-seen in London…) cute as a button navy spring coat

Undercover does complex boho…

Anne Valerie Hash’s subtle detailing // Toga dress, a label that I’ve talked about but have yet to see in person

Rick Owens dress… right now, I’m digging Rick Owens anything and I shall be trying my luck at the Daphne Guinness auctions to see whether another coup will happen…

…all of that in a store that from the outside looks like something that might sell ladies-who-lunch-at-Cipriani’s type outfits but perhaps I need to delve a bit deeper into this part of town to get to the gems.

**EDIT** Another new bit of Feathers delivery that is making me rethink my views on the National Lottery (never played it but I’m considering it now…!).  A Toga perfect-shade-of-grey patent biker jacket…. must stay in Fantasy Friday mode, must not kid oneself that a jacket like this could ever be in my posession…

  1. haha! Knightsbridge always leaves a funny/bad taste in my mouth and most of the boutique windows look like a nancy del’olio’s wardrobe explosion. However, I must agree with you wholeheartedly…that patent biker jacket is sublime…

  2. hey, ive been looking around your blog a while now and i have to say it inspires me a lot. i’m always looking forward for new posts. i really love the first dress of this post its amazing!
i linked you on my blog, hope its okay. mines still pretty new so dont wonder.

  3. The patent jacket is beyond gorgeous–perfect cut and perfect freaking color! A one-of-a-kind to be sure. I too love anything Rick Owens right now…But, BUT…the dress! The tissue dress is mind-blowing. Hmmm. You know, I wonder how hard something like that would be to aproximate if the price is too dear…I mean one could spend the $ on the fabric–the cut doesn’t look too complicated. Hmmmm. Well, either way, I love it. Now you’ve got my mind spinning.

  4. Cannot help but look at that first lumpy dress and think, it will be superb on a day when I’m down with sniffles… I can just pluck a lump off the dress and use it!
and your comment about it being ‘white tissue galore’ adds on to my imagination! (:

  5. The first dress made me think of someone covering themselves in whipped cream and getting ready for a naughty evening. I don’t think it would be flattering on many, but I can appreciate what they were trying to achieve.
