Hope you treated your mother to a nice bit of lavender honey cake, some Lapsang Souchong tea whilst she gazes at your handmade card and gets a whiff of your freshly-cut hyacinth and tulips. Ok, I only did the flowers and the 15-minute-jobbie card (see below) but I’m a firm believer that cake and tea is not just for Mother’s Day, and that it should be an everyday affair.
Oh, just in case it wasn’t clear enough, it is Mother’s Day in the UK.

You scared me there for a second!
My mom says mother’s day should be everyday, i think she’s right, but it should exist something like a daughter’s day too ๐
Mother’s day here is in May!

What a great-looking card. I love how you covered the whole thing with netting.
argh yes, an email I got from ASOS last week through me for a loop because I thought it was Mother’s Day the following weekend! Then I recalled that ASOS is in the UK and the mini stroke/heartache thing was over…
but I should start planning…

In Italy Mother’s Day is in May. I still have time ๐
