I can’t really say that I’m too familiar with Richard Pryor other than he was a great stand-up and what I do know is of the negative womaniser/abuser ilk so a sale in honour of Pryor at Stand Up Comedy, a Portland-based store that I wrote about a while back for its unfunny but very cool approach to labels, would both make sense and baffle.
However, I’m not really caring about the origins of the sale when all AW07-8 stock is marked at prices of $150, $100, $75 and $50. This of course is music to an Englishwoman’s ears as I just further knock 50% off those prices to get the British pound conversion. All these Patrik Rzepski pieces at $50-$100 is even more musically pleasing because, as it is, Rzepski is not the easiest of designers to find in London. Rzepski is one of the few NYC-based designers I pine for over here and in reality sales here don’t reach these sort of ker-razy dizzy heights…. so I guess it leaves me nothing but to say thank you Richard Pryor…?! Eh….?

i love that blazer!!! do you know where we can buy his pieces online??
Ah ballerina k, forgot to say, you just need to email info@shopstandingup.us and tell them what you want and they’ll process the order via Paypal etc.
It’s not strictly an e-shop unfortunately!
Ack! An American sale!! And one in Portland! Normally I can say, “Oh, pounds and Euro, no, not for me!”
I’ll have to add Stand-Up Comedy to my list of places to go next time I’m in PDX (besides Powell’s and Voodoo Doughnut!).

/DCB.
richard pryor isn’t from the womanizing abusing ilk! he was however a bit of a junky. he is one of the most beloved american comedians of all time, and continued to act long after developing MS. there will be tributes (and sales?? do the proceeds go to MS research or animal cruelty causes? that was really his thing) in honor of richard pryor possibly for eternity.
those pants are wild hot btw
I love that capelet!
