Remember my yearnings for more FICOR’s (fashion-insider cast off rails….) and stylists doing some sneaky eBay selling (I believe ppl should keep a watch on FashionAnyone who has sold plenty of Lanvin/Galliano with no reserve…)? Last month also saw the first Buy My Wardrobe event where ‘uber-fashionistas’ (what an icky term…) sold their gems to the public… Me thinks this year will see the FICOR’S come into full fruition as Shop Curious, organised by Susan Muncey, an ex-boutique owner and now is a…um….trend visuologist(?!?) has sort of semi-launched. The website isn’t fully up yet but the first inaugaral sale being held over this weekend entitled ‘Susan Muncey’s Curious Fashion Sale’ at the Elms Lester Painting Rooms is supposed to be offering one-off’s from the the 1980’s onwards from the likes of YSL, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Lacroix and Emma Cook and shoes from Miu Miu, Chanel and Terry de Havilland, with prices starting from a fiver upwards! Bring on a 2008 filled with interesting fashion-insider cast offs….
The email subject line that bounces back when you sign up on the website says ‘Thank you for being curious’. No, thank you for making me curious…

i’m curious too…
i’m thinking a trip after work on friday is in order
Great strategy!
Hi, Just a quick note about the ebay seller fashionanyone. The name rang a bell with me and, after a quick google search, I remembered where from. Although some of her items are genuine, apparently she is a notorious ebay scammer [there seems to be a whole website dedicated to her ebay activities… [http://monaco-babevictims.com/] Just a note to approach her with caution xx
Sorry – the link is http://monaco-babevictims.com/
We’ll have to see what happens here.
Turns out you can get an invite to the Thursday night preview just by asking…
This is a really helpful info. Thanks a lot!
The shop seems to be closed now, which is interesting… My go-to reseller site is HEWI London, always find the best pieces and the best prices too.
