False Fashion Alarm

noninvites.jpg

Isn’t it rubbish when you had the full intention of going out, getting ready and all that jazz and after tiring yourself getting ready, you actually decide that you’re in no fit state to be going out?  I kid you not, these photos were taken in a temporary frenzy and anticipation of seeing SOMETHING at London Fashion Week (Gareth Pugh and Fashion East…) with an outfit to go with said shows.  The sun was shining as if to say ‘Come out to play!’.  I somehow magiced away the flu-related aches in the body.  I was about to slap some slap on and then I suddenly felt like jelly and what was supposed to be a mini power-nap turned into sleeping away the afternoon and thus missing the shows.  I do realise my getting ill is down to the sheer amount of work I’m taking on which is purely my fault (so my boyf keeps reminding me…even on this merry V day, dedicated to love and all that…) but an end is in sight I hope.

On a more positive note, for some reason I’m always itching to find some way of wearing my neon tights sleeves.

  1. Susie, can u please tell me where u got that silver dress from? I have an obsession with silver and i need to know or my soul will not rest in peace. thank you. 🙂

  2. aaah… i do the same thing… you’re a lot better about getting out there. yesterday instead of writing posts i fell asleep at 9pm. and today i have a fashion show i promised to go to, but really i want to sleep.
ah the joys of blogging while working while trying to do more stuff.
btw, i love the outfit! pink sleeves! how wonderul!

  3. Poor Susie. It’s so important you don’t take too much on. I have M.E. so I know how frustrating it is to have a million things to do and no energy to do them. It’s such a bummer to miss Fashion Week but you’re way more important then that. Rest up and get well and take it as a comfort that even when you’re ill you look totally hot in your pictures.
Relax and de-jellify – you deserve it!
    Becky.

  4. Don’t overwork yourself, SB. Everyone needs a healthy amount of downtime, even when one has neon-bright pink arm thingies to wear to exciting fashion shows.

  5. I love the tights! They are very cool the way they change colour. Sophiedoz is right about the work thing..you need some down time so spend the night with your bf and just relax, it’s Valentines day after all!
Also, I think I heard somewhere that you were a fellow HBS girl…is this true??

  7. Ah, those shoes! Those arms! The shoes and the arms!
    And the tights?
A shame only your room was able to see this…well, and us too.

  8. I love those with the silver jacket. If this is how you spend your sick/downtime, then we benefit. I hope you’ll take this look outside, and share it with the rest of the world.

  9. For a crook birdy you sure know how to pull a look out of the bag. Did you dye the tights yourself? Take it easy, xx

  10. Sigh. I’ve had that happen to me. I really like the tights. Do you really dress like this everyday? Or is this just for our viewing? I hope you really do.

  11. Love love love all of it (the neon, dyed tights, headband, coat and dress- amazing)…you’re stylish in sickness and in health 🙂 (though I hope you get better soon- take care of yourself, a healthy Susie is any day better than a sick one!)

  12. your plastic mac and neon arms have pushed me to get a plastic pink neon rain mac i’ve been pondering in H&M for a week, i hope a few sizes are left!

  13. That’s one amazing outfit! Not usually what I’m going for, but it looks purrrfect on you.
