If you take a screenshot of the blog at this point in time, I think most people will be very frightened of the copious amonts of pink both on the blog’s background and in the outfits: the vintage Lanvin dress/coat and my Miami Pink outfit here. You would have thought in 30 degrees Celcius heat the layers would be stripped back but actually, the constant air conditioning and the varying levels of heat does make a skimpy t-shirt and shorts outfit rather hard to work. I’m not entirely sure how so many disparate shades of pink/peach managed to wind up together and yes, going into the elevator does get the ‘look-up-and-down’ from other guests at the hotel but I’m rather into clashing tonal values these days along with textures…TS Boutique pale pink satin swing jacket, American Apparel nude/peach skater dress, vintage coral pink silk slip dress, hot pink PVC skirt…. what a load of wrongness mixed into one…
However, seeing as I’ve witnessed plenty of ‘it’s so bad it’s good…’ occurences/places/people here in Miami… I’m think it’s rather apt…

Cute!
until when will you be here in miami??
if you get a chance, i havent gone but i’ve heard good stuff about
http://www.tomasmaier.com/
probably really over priced judging by the online shop but i’ve heard that the store itself is really cute.
Pink is the navy blue of Miami. It’s entirely appropriate.
i like this. the beige tones down the pink, which would look like a costume otherwise.
Unsuprisingly, you make an outfit work, again.
I was quite worried, at first glance I thought you were wearing some kind of high-waisted pink skirt with a pink bra and a see-through plastic coat!
It’s rather strange you not posting about London life! But nice to have a bit of a shake up, nontheless.
I actually thought you’d been converted when I saw this photograph and it’s fleshy tones.
“SUSIE?” I thought, “Is that YOU, revealing skin?”. But a sigh of relief as I realised it was in fact material! The colours are lovely and certainly seem to work well with the hotel room, making it look remotely (remotely key word) indie flicky and hazy/saturated colourish.
Ack, I’m doing that thing when its past twelve and I type mumble and struggle to get words or my point out. Must stop that!
xx
Wonder if you got my email? It’s probably sent to your spam folder. It’s a request for shopping? Please email me back if possible! Thanks 🙂
And once again, the blog rules, thanks to Susie Bubble!
..sorry, that was my attempt at copying the Powerpuff Girls end line. Your clothes remind me a vague bit of Blossom 🙂
Beautiful, it suits you very well!
that pvc skirt just keeps on cropping up! i love it sooo much!!
Haha very nice find! Unique.
I totally recognize that bedspread!Brilliant dress sense as always! Hopefully I’ll see you in Brussels!

on a side note,
i also thought you were baring your midriff. Was worried the weather and environment had gotten the best of your fashion sense. but i see that is has, in a good way though! x

This is a great look; it really suits you!
that outfit would look so stupid on every other person, but you’re rocking the pink so well!
Hope you have fun in Miami!!
Hey…late coming but just wanted to say thanks for the pink loving…or rather…multi-pink loving…
John: Email me when you are in this part of the world! It was v. cool to meet you!
