The Eternal Sunshine of the Zara Dress

If there’s a dress that is going to be signature Susie Bubble, then better it be the Zara yellow ruffled one. Illustrator and graphic designer, Michelle Gosse (do check out her portfolio of various illos), very kindly and sweetly sent me her illos depiction of me in that dress and I’m flattered beyond belief that someone would take the time to do that. Plus, it will always give me a smile to know that, that particular large dosage of sunshine yellow in that dress will always pull me out of the gutteral depths of petulant depression.

  2. Oh there is only one store here in the city I live in Romania, where you can find that dress and it’s sooooooooooo overpriced it hurts!!!!!
I mean, seriously, it is like 5 times more expensive than what it’s actually worth. wtf? I mean…yeah, that’s why I go for vintage:)

  4. I told my roomie about this dress, but I was only able to show her the pink version. While the yellow version in twenty feet taunted us in the window advertisement. She was able to find it this last weekend at a resale shop for 20 dollars…what a lucky duck!

  5. i have the same dress in pink (because i missed getting the yellow one!), and it’s become a part of my lovies :]

  6. How odd that I never ever saw the pink version but got the yellow version first…. perhaps I didn’t visit Zara enough… I kind of want the pink satin version as well…. greedy greedy….

  8. Yup…just call me fashion commoner… I’m into all sorts of things lluviaschick…high-end, alternative, high street, vintage – I’m not really into tacking on labels on things…as long as it rocks my boat, I’m there….
    Not really into fashion snobbery….

  9. Neat illustration.
The dress didn’t suit me, but it sold out fast at local Zaras… looks gorgeous on you.

  10. I love how the illustration is simple but you can immediately tell it is Susie Bubble in her classic pose!
