So I must concede that when Kate Moss was galavanting around Glastonbury in her PVC leggings and black lace blouse, she did look sickeningly good. Mostly because she looked like she was wearing them with ease and of course in a still picture, you can’t detect any yanking, sweaty discomforts and general PVC-related disasters. Seeing as I live in a country running wild with Kate Moss-fanatics, those clever folks at Browns were quick to become the sole exclusive stockist of those exact leggings by Les Chiffoniers. Now, my own experimentations with PVC came about courtesy of a cheap ¬£15 find from a sleazy Camden sex shop. In fact, I have seen PVC leggings/trousers with the zips like the Les Chiffoniers ones for not much more than ¬£20. So I’m imploring any hardcore Moss-fanatics out there reading, NOT to splurge a whooping ¬£200 in a mad midnight moment of madness when the picture of Kate Moss to the left is haunting and taunting you. Buying the silver spandex version, though lovely in their own right, again does not warrant ¬£200. People say that my penchant for weird/shiny/patterned/fetish leggings is a little excessive….but because they are mostly temporary, whimsical trend experimentations is precisely why I don’t splash the cash on them.
Me thinks Browns are pushing their luck with coaxing people to spend so much money on something SO seasonal…

The comfort of such a garment is all in the materials and construction. Perhaps the more expensive version is lined or somehow vented? Of course even if the interior is comfortable, the exterior inner leg parts must rub against each other with a heat inducing friction when one walks, yes?
I have to admit that it looks really good on Kate but it doesn’t mean that it would look good on any Kate -fan . I’m terrified thinking that i might start seeing girls in those. It just doesn’t suit for most of us.

I actually think kate moss looks terrible in them. Her legs in my opinion, look too thin and the pvc leggings are hanging off in an unflattering way. Those things don’t even look good on the mannequin. The only person (other than Susie, natch) who looked good in them is Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.
Um, those kind of materials just make me think of unpleasant odours and certain conditions of the “nether regions” caused by the skin not being able to breathe.
But yeah, they do look cool on the right person!
They look SOOO good on Kate, but I don’t think the tighter fit looks good of the other leggings, and the price tag‚Äîughhh!!! never…

I kind of have to agree on this one… Kate Moss might flog unexciting clothes to the general public, but she knows how to wear her own, and I have to take my hat off to her for looking so utterly at ease in those.
ahh… yes. I saw this picture somewhere and my eyes just popped. I think this must be the first picture I’ve really noticed someone wearing PVCs well!!
I own a pair of these, which i bought direct from leschiffoniers.com and they’re worth every penny! The reason you’ve never seen anyone wear them well is cos the cheapies are so badly made & unflattering. These even look flattering on me, a size 12 (!) & every time i leave the house in them i get asked by 10 girls where i got them.
I’d say Kate Moss is about the only one who could get away with the cheaper versions, but she doesn’t have to anyway cos she can afford them!
I went into Browns today and they are waiting for a new delivery.Boo hoo! I saw one pair though in another style-the quality did look good. It’s not a plastic fabric at all. it’s really light weight.

i personally really like these leggings. I think anyone can pull these off, seriously it’s all about ATTITUDE! wooo ~ can’t wait to find my first pair too.
