This second round of style lovies has yielded collages in super fast speed. Firstly, thank you to those who participated. If there are more to come (and I think there are…), trust me when I say that the blog will be plastered with collages galore. I’m loving how the collages look when you scroll down the blog so even if I’m not posting them for the enjoyment of the contents of lovies, it’s adding a great aesthetic appeal.
Dream Echo’s lovies have a great selection of indie designers and also a nice mix of styles but it’s her vintage selection which really caught my eye – the cloud print dress, the balloon print top, rope pring shirt – all contemporary looking because of the choice of graphics.
Bliss Lau tan accordion bag, F21 red strapless dress, F21 brown beaded necklaces, secondhand Kido wool plaid children’s blazer, Faryl Robin metallic and white wedge heels, vintage rope print shirt, Zucca ruffle tunic, Michele Lau ruffle top, secondhand Betsey Johnson black sparkle shell, secondhand cloud print maxi dress, Jeffrey Campbell red canvas wedge sneakers, secondhand fruit print dress, Chie Mihara mary janes, Glory Chen green pumps, Manoush pale pink circle print top, H&M pale pink smock dress, Proenza Schouler for Target bustier, F21 zebra print tunic, vintage cloud/balloon print batwing blouse, H&M fuschia dress, periodic table of the elements t-shirt, secondhand multicolored heels, Bronx black platforms.
Tanaz who I have met in person (I was stalking her burgandy patent Marc Jacobs shopper in H&M) has the cutest selection of accessories. I love how she has REALLY low-end things as her lovies as well – like stuff from Matalan and Primark. I’m also a fan of her capes, especially the Sara Berman one.
Vintage grey crepe dress with large yellow pom pom on side, Vintage Frank Usher cape/coat, Vintage sparkly dress with ruffled bib front, Miu Miu for POP glitter and gem stone shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs patent cream king pin bag, red Topshop wedges, vintage red and white knitted polka dot bow tie, Sonia Rykiel deep pink pom pom necklace, Marc by Marc Jacobs silk dress with organza swirls and bow, Sara Berman harris tweed cape, Marc by Marc Jacobs bow bag, Matalan sparkly silver and white skirt with bow (worn as a dress as it is too big but only £1.00!), vintage short jacket with satin bows, Vivienne Westwood knee patch tights, Primark multi coloured belt.
Lauren at Fops & Dandies has a lot of sparkle going on in her lovies, in the Prada top, the bright pink satin shoes (I have a momentary obsession with pink satin) and the Tracy Reese skirt. Her Le Sports Sac weekender and Marc Jacobs satchel has got me thinking I need a lot more whimsical cartoon like travel bags.
LeSportSac "Shooting Star" large weekender, Vintage Rena Lange iridescent sequined dress, Wifebeater with neon orange silkscreened crab, Neon green scarf, H&M leopard print upholstery jacket, White long-sleeved shirt from Japan, Marc by Marc Jacobs silk dress Vintage knit beret, Cocktail rings from my mom (citrine; pink sapphire; emerald), Tracy Reese sequined skirt, Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue peeptoe shoes, Tse Say lettuce puff wrap skirt, secondhand scarf with safari animals, Air Jordan IV, Marc by Marc Jacobs satchel, Vintage embroidered coat, Vintage shirt of birds on wires, Kate Spade satin mary janes, vintage yellow ruffled lingerie top, Prada metallic thread tunic top, Vintage puff-sleeved jacket, vintage beaver hat, chain necklace, vintage peacock feather scarf, secondhand rhinestone cuff
Hamidah of Candid Cool has a hell of a lot of Kenneth Cole in her lovies and as she has pointed out, a lot of her lovies are also her cogs/staples which is a system that works for some people (I, on the other hand, make a VERY big distinction between the two). Her lovies don’t seem to have been bought on a whimsy but on a measured decision. A sensible set of lovies!
Vintage estate sale fedora via Ebay, Dior Homme “The End” t-shirt, red croc pumps, leopard pumps, silk kimono, Kenneth Cole NY runway belt, Kenneth Cole NY “Button Up” flats (the only ballet flats she wears), J.Lindeberg racer back asymmetrical waistcoat, suede & leather wedge boots, Kenneth Cole NY men’s military shirt, kaftan style dress, KCNY "Jet Stream" camera” bag (cog/staple piece too), hand made japanese rising sun belt, Kimono had since middle school, Striped ruffle blouse, KCNY runway leather jacket, Art deco inspired earrings, Kelly/Birkin style handbag (cog/staple piece too), cashmere scarf, bling bling ring, KCNY runway-inspired bag, Polo Jeans denim jacket had since middle school, Proenza Schouler for Target jacket, Morroccan inspired tunic, “Pearl” necklace with brooch & ribbon, blue velvet jacket, leopard print wallet/clutch
The lovies of Katie Lilga, a 180 from Candid Cool’s lovies, is all about the whimsy! It’s vintage all the way mixed with a lot of kitsch. An Early Learning Centre tutu? Fantastic. It’s not all about childish tendancies though as there are also some very glamourous vintage pieces.
Tesco mint bubbles, sparkly stars, Betty name tag – ebay, roller skates, minnie mouse headphones from japan, vintage earrings – ebay, red/pewter vintage high heels, Barbie lunch box used as bag, false eyelashes, H&M yellow plastic bag, Early Learning Centre pink tutu, navy vintage high heels, gold/black vintage zebra print bag, trucker cap from japan, yellow bumbag, vintage fendi scarf, vintage 80s bag, vintage cream wash bag, vintage travel bag, vintage quilted chain bags, red and green beret, vintage jacket, gold Nike runners, Office red high heals, Schuh disco ball high heels, vintage 80s black/purple prom dress, vintage fur coat, vintage sequin dress, white flower girl dress, vintage 50s prom dress, 50s style halter-neck, 2 sailor dresses on the way from america!, leather jacket, white vintage t-shirt, homemade denim skirt, white canvas Office runners.
Overall, I love how everyone places a similar value on different items in their wardrobe. Nobody seems to treasure their designer items over their vintage cheapie finds which is exactly how I feel about my lovies.

You spot the capable-looking Adonis at a friends shindig and fell brains over heels in passion with him. But alas! Gorgeous girls have even now surrounded him and he seems to be enjoying every bit of the thought showered on him by the members of fairer sex. Now what can you do? Love the site. I have added it to my bookmarks. Keep up the good work.
