So I was a little out of sorts stumbling into the after party of the Gollierock exhibition, celebrating photographers Tim & Barry’s longtime collaboration with JC de Castelbajac. But fun fun fun was being had and you can of course catch the beautiful people on DDD. I’m not sure whether it’s sudden turn of cold weather we’re getting in London but dramatic black was worn to wonderful effects. I hate it when magazines make empty statements such as ‘Black is Back’ or ‘XXX is the new Black’ so all I can suppose is that black is a constant that can get rejuvenated like this…
This girl wore a stunning black zip-up dress that looked like vintage Alaia but accessorised with a beauty of a necklace of intertwined glass baubles. Hussein Chalayan’s S/S07 bubble dress maybe a bit of an impossibility but wearing bubbles around the neck is not. // Where the majority of people were going short short short with micro mini’s and high waisted shorts, this lady wore floor sweeping black with an essential veil. Veils add just the right amount of haughtiness without looking too standoffish. Fact.
You couldn’t really miss the dress swirling around the club. From the front and back, the black ruffles edged with silver are mesmerising.

oh my! I love the black and silber rimmed dress! to die for!
and to say the least: I adore your blog! I don’t come here often but if I do so, I read the whole thing at once, haha…

That necklace is incredible… and, I LOVE your blog; it is fantastic. It is just so much fun to look at. I have it as one of my favorite places to visit on my blog (:

2) flawless makeup
3) fun!
the necklace is amazing!!! I’m thinking about a DoItYoursef project…hm. maybe it’s doable.
Anyway, if you’d like the check out the last photo shoot I did, “Mix’n’Match” I’d be very happy. I need feedback!

What a fabulous dress, front and back! She wears it well.
I was trying to think how to make the necklace too. Maybe from Xmas ornaments….
The necklace & dress are awesome. The necklace looks almost vintage, like some chunky thing a mod would have worn 50 years ago.
The dress is amazing and love her attitude in pulling it off. Great shots!
The necklace is by Jonathan Anderson, and we are the only stockist of his jewellery in London! (twosee that is, where the party was with timandbarry… 17 monmouth street)
