LA-based Creatures of Comfort is no secret, especially to the discerning US online shopper. Frankly, for me it’s the one store which I feel like could be my fashion kindred spirit simply because CoC seems to have a knack of picking out the best from designers I love and also presenting me with beauties from designers I hadn’t heard of. Dress after dress, top after top, skirt after skirt… I never stumble upon a rotten tomato…
Therefore, to fully connect with my fashion kindred spirit better, CoC are being nice and offering 15% off all their stock until the 16th May to celebrate being 1 years old, around the same age as Style Bubble. Only, Style Bubble doesn’t give half as much pleasure as CoC does. The clever thing is the discount is applied at checkout so you get a pleasant surprise.
The ironic thing is that whilst CoC stocks some great American designers…actually me buying European labels works out being cheaper and easier with the availability. All down to the weak dollar and greater demand in London. I could go scouring around London for Emma Cook and Peter Jensen but the truth is lazy me buys it on CoC and even with shipping costs, I save some dosh. Don’t ask me how those metrics work but there you go.

Same thing applies to French goodies to and seeing as the APC site goes beserk and all out of stock within two weeks of those beautiful catalogues coming out, it’s handy to have CoC in tow with all the best APC picks.

Best thing of all though is the amount of Zucca they buy in. I can’t for the life of me find Zucca in London (even though it’s supposed to be stocked in Liberty and Selfridges) and unless I go back to Hong Kong (opportunities for me to go back and getting few and far between) or go to the Cabane de Zucca store in Paris, it is pretty impossible for me to get my Z-fix… Zucca is my label of choice for off-duty wearable but interesting clothes.
So it really is a comfort to know that an online store has got my back, both in choosing exactly what you want and need and bringing everything to me cost effectively.

I spend a ridiculous amount of time browsing that site. Ive come close to ordering items a couple of times but Im always scared of getting stung by customs but 15% off is rather tempting…
Nice fashion kindred spirit. Looking through a Le Book of AW 2003 I loved the Marni collection, I’d wear it now, EVERYTHING!
So I guess Marni in my fashion kindred spirit:)Too bad I can’t afford it.
Oh well, at least we know our spirits.
I hear you Susie (but check back on APC – they restocked a lot of things recently!)

Oh this one my most favourite sites ever. I just adore ever single item on there. My credit card was trembling when the 15% off viral mailer landed in my inbox….
Love everything!
the store in LA is great– when they have sales, all the good stuff is still there, because few people in LA like this kind of stuff! aka few people have good taste. An LA gem.
SO *envious* about your strong sterling. everything in america is half off for you.

PS. thanks again susie for your london shopping tips!
You can get both Emma Cook and Peter Jensen in the UK from Brittique.com – much quicker and cheaper than buying from the US!
Creatures of Comfort is one of the best online stores out there, they have the most amazing buyer who just knows exactly who their customer is and what they want. Also when their sale rolls around, it is insanely good !
I totally agree with Jessica…
