Facehunting the Facehunter

Who is that tall and dandy-ish dressed dude roaming the streets of Paris, cool-snapping at all the right places at the right time?  Yes, it can only be the Facehunter.  I snapped this photo of him when I met him because it’s good to know that someone around Paris dares to don the quirky, the off-kilter, when you actually get open gawps, jeers, laughs and derision (my neon tights did not fare well in Paris at all…).  I’m really feeling the contrast of Dickensian touches with modern clothing. (just don’t expect me to buy into Sienna Miller’s Twenty8Twelve line, supposedly inspired by Dickensian London….) and the top hat is that exact right touch of Dickens.

  1. Do people really react like that in Paris? I would think in the fashion capital(supposedly) they would be more tolerant to things different.
Are they mean in their ways of starting? I find this quite interesting as it’s funny to see how people respond differently in countries.

  2. Lol it’s easier to look fashionable if you copy your stuff 1:1 from catwalks and mags than think of your own outfits. I found most of the Parisian crowd incredibly boring

  3. I made my boyfriend a top hat for Christmas. It had a white lining and everything! I was actually rather proud of it. And he looked awesome in it too.
I do love the whole Dickensian thing going on at the moment.
Haha, and I can completely relate to the whole pointing and laughing thing. I once walked into my art class (where I thought people may appreciate creativity !!) and some girls in there laughed for an hour straight at the dress I was wearing! And today, some people in my library actually openly pointed and laughed at my beautiful orang/red rain coat! It’s truly awesome though… It has umbrellas on it!
    Wow. I wrote a lot.

  4. wooooooow HE LOOKS DREAMY in the picture you took of him. *swoons*.

  5. As a fellow snapper I managed to get a few good shots of him at Paris Haute Couture. Oh by the way i’m the girl that was wearing the white tights cricket jumper combo at the unconditional show!

  6. Go Susie! Loved your outfit on Facehunter, it was completely you and you looked lovely.
The Facehunter has serious class, though. Top hats ahoy, I want one!
