Keeping time MJ style

It seems the Marc Jacobs empire just keeps growing and growing, yet as commercial as it’s getting, it doesn’t seem to have lost that ‘cool’ appeal.  Latest addition to the empire is the line of Marc by Marc Jacobs watches.  Now, I personally don’t wear a watch as I’m one of those annoying people who is permanently attached to their mobile (cell) phones and so I just glance at the screen for the time.  Plus, I’m allergic to a lot of nickel-based metals so a lot of watch backs make my skin come up all blotchy and red. 

So, I’m rather in love with these kitschy fruit watch pendants from the Marc by MJ line.  I like that the fruit pendants are dainty and small but just about big enough to keep an eye on the time (useful for the people with you too!).  Provided the chain is a safe sterling silver, I might start getting to places on time.

    Holt Renfrew has some of the wonderful fall Marc by Marc Jacobs purses on the floor. Ours here in Ottawa is under destruction (okay, construction), so I didn’t stop at the jewellery counters last time I was in. Perhaps you could call and (a) see if they are carrying the adorable pendant watches too or (b) beg them to,

    the toronto holts is currently under a revamp as well.. but i should just take a walk down and see if they have any.

  7. Well, they’re not on the Marc Jacobs mainsite yet so my guess is that they’re not actually out yet.
    d: Marc Jacobs is opening a store for both his mainline collection and his Marc by MJ line too….so no worries about getting it over in the UK….. plus all the department stores will probably get it in.

  11. Yeah, I LOVE those watches… I recently saw them at South Coast Plaza’s Nordstroms, but since they cost $125, I passed on that. They are really cute though, and if I had the money I’d get them.
