Argh!!!! I'm a teenager again!

I’m slightly under the influence of alcohol at the moment but coherent enough to post this.  I don’t wanna be smug about it but I am WELL chuffed.  This was kindly scanned from the September issue of Teen Vogue (with Mischa Barton on the cover) by DosViolines of The Fashion Spot and sent to me.  Yes, I am in the fashion alphabet alongside three other much more established and worthy blogs I might add but let’s ignore that fact shall we……  This is a feature I guiltily pore over everytime they do one, in a magazine I guiltily read even though I’m far from a teenager (last time I checked anyway!).  I’m sorry to rah on but…………’EEEEEEEEEEEK……..’ is all I can say (oh and maybe some unmentionable expletives….!).

P.S. Someone just posted a link to the scan in the duration of while I was posting …… I can’t even keep up!

  1. I cannot believe you got your picture in TeenVogue! Well, I always knew your blog was good . . .

  2. Jess, I know! It’s a little surreal to be honest…. I know why they chose that pic though since it features their editorial in the background and all….

  3. That’s really sweet!
    Congrats, how thrilling.
    Go drink some more bubbly!
    Regards from Canada,
    C.

  4. thats so cool susie! keep up the work, i’m sure you’ll be getting more traffice because it!

  5. Wowza, wowza, wowza, Susie!
CONGRATS on the feature! And as Jess said, “I always knew your blog was good!”
    Seriously! KEEP IT UP!
    🙂 x 1000000000000!

  6. congrats!!!! you deserve it. i’m hooked to this site, and you really know your stuff.

  7. Well done, that’s a great achievement! And don’t feel bad a bout reading teen mags – I would SO still read Just Seventeen if it was still the fortnightly version I used to love as a teenager!

  8. fifteenfish: No no,there’s nothing wrong at all! Except that I’m not one – I’m 22!
And the ‘Argh’ in my title was a good ‘Argh! – an ‘Argh’ of joy….!

  9. oopsy! sorry! i forgot to add CONGRATULATIONS YOUR BLOG IS BEING RECOMMENDED EVERYWHERE!!!! ITS SMASHING!
    i’ve become a dedicated reader.

  10. This is absolutely amazing, but not at all surprising as your blog is obviously pretty special. Be smug!

  11. Wow, that is fantastic!! What an honour and a break-through in the blogging world for style bubble to be mentioned in Teen Vogue! Gazillions of teenagers will be hooked on your blog now (and hopefully won’t be hooked on weed as much!) It’s truly an achievement and testimony to how big your blog has become (I knew it was relatively big on cyberspace … but not this big!) Ahh, I feel proud to be a commenter. Many many pats on your back for you.

  12. I was surprised when they asked me beforehand. I was like ‘Say what? Teen Vogue? Are you sure you’ve emailed the right blogger???’.
I mean, a) Style Bubble is fairly new onto the blogging scene and b) there are a LOT of much better and more established blogs out there. Usually when they do these fashion blog articles in magazines, newspapers, the big guns like Satorialist, I am Fashion, Fashionologie etc are mentioned so yeah…. it was a little bit of a shock to say the least!

  13. Wow! Congratulations susie! I feel a little dewy eyed since I’ve been reading for a while and now it seems as if you are headed for stardom! You’re blog is my favourite of all the style and fashion gang. I think it’s because you have a way of writing that allows your personality to shine through in a way that’s very engaging and often totally hilarious. Keep your creative and charming energy flowin’ girl. Hey I wonder what that evil person who said you know nothing about fashion (a few months back) thinks now-HAHA I say! haha!

  14. I saw this in the magazine yesterday and I was going to say congrats! Snaps on your being in Teen Vogue! I am far from a teen as well, but fashion is everywhere, you just have to look:)

  15. 1. your blog is infintely better than i am fashion.
    2. don’t be ashamed – i subscribe to teenvogue at 26. i think the style is actually more my speed than “grown-up” vogue as is the budget.

  16. I agree with the previous commentor, Teen Vogue’s fashion speaks to my real life much more than big Vogue (which speaks to my fantasy life).
    Susie, congratulations!

  17. Congrats on your Teen Vogue mention, Susie! I am a floater here who also posts on The Fashion Spot and I must say I think it’s well deserved. I love this site and your comments. Keep up the great work!

  18. Wow! Congrats Susie!
To be honest, those other blogs are okay but all I’ve got eyes for is yours. I love it! keep blogging please– you have amazing fashion and you’re such an inspiration.
    love from NYC

  19. Yay, Susie, congrats! I’ve been a “lurker” on your blog forever, but I wanted to comment to tell you how exciting it is that they included your blog!
    Keep up the wonderful work!

  20. Absolut-ly well deserved congrats Suze (as in Suze the French aperitif??). What’s great about your blog is that it’s full of X-tremely varied info, but it’s not an over-pro blog, as in “website pretending to be a blog” – I can’t stand those ! C U soon in London, I hope… ! & once again, bravo 🙂 Scaree Gee-Oh!

  21. susie, your blog is flat-out amazing. you’re so much newer at this than many of the other fashion bloggers out there, AND you’re so much better – your writing is so engaging, your ideas are so original, and so much of the real YOU comes through – that’s why so many of us love your blog. you immediately became a favorite of mine, from your first post. congratulations, you absolutely deserve it!!! 🙂

  22. CONGRATULATIONS.I’ve been hooked to your blog ever since i stumbled upon it! 🙂
I love the way you write about style because it’s so unpretentious and personal. 😉

  23. Congratulations!!! I am a huge fan of your blog. 🙂
I love your fashion sense. You’re my fashion idol.

  24. Congratulations!
I read that magazine, but then, I’m fourteen. I always feel as if it’s fashion is becoming progressively more mainstream, but maybe I’m just getting older and more fashionable?

  25. Eeeeek (the key word of this post!)!! Thanks for all the congrat comments! I was half scared that people would be like ‘Eeeerr….it’s just Teen Vogue dude’ or that I didn’t deserve the mention so it’s good to know that you guys are happy for me!
Oh, and a big ‘Hello’ to those who have stumbled here via Teen Vogue!

  26. i subscribe! i love teen vogue and i’m so happy you’re in it! can’t wait to get my copy in the mail… “i ordered shoes from the girl behind that blog”… you are great 🙂 and i love your diy posts, the idea to slip a belt through the bow is amazing 🙂 i had been sewing bow belts but slipping it through a belt just seems so much easier! 🙂
