Well, if we must talk about the ‘scene’…..

Let me just put it bluntly – the word ‘scene’ gives me the jitters.  By ‘scene’, I’m talking about a social gathering at music clubs usually of the ‘indie’ (another word that should be made redundant) music ilk.  So, a person hanging out at ‘scene’ clubs would be a ‘scenester’.  At least, that’s the broadest definition I can give.  I’m not going to wax lyrical about what the precise definition of ‘scene’ is since some of you may have completely different ideas.  London most definitely has a big ‘scene’ culture just by nature of being a big city.  So, if I didn’t post some pictures of *groan – there she goes using that word again* scene fashion, how can we fully explore what London streetstyle has to offer?  These are taken from Disorder magazine July and August issues.  You may cry outrage and say ‘Urgh…these people are the worst dressed people ever’ but I’ve always leaned towards to the school of thought, that having a lack of style is far worse than having a sense of style not to your liking.  So I probably don’t aspire to look like most of these people but respect to them for having their own style and injecting their personality into their clothes.  Plus, these pictures speak more to me about what London streetstyle is about than say Vogue’s streetstyle pictures even though they may be in the minority.
