The Yes/No in Fashion

What is it about Chloe Sevigny that makes her such aningenue in the fashion world?  First she starred in the mini film Carousel for Ritz Fine Jewellery.  Now she is in another short film entitled ‘Myself’ by photographer Marcelo Krasilcic.  The mini-movie is one of the 25 entries, curated by Diane Pernet and Dino Dinco for the You Wear it Well fashion short film festival that will be premiering in Hollywood tomorrow (don’t worry…the festival will be travelling all over the place in the future!).

The premise is simple.  Chloe Sevigny tries on various outfits saying no or yes, expressing her distaste and desire for what she’s wearing.  As she says yes, sunlight breaks through in the background – probably echoing a feeling that a lot of people get when they have tried on something so fantastic in the changing room, you feel like shouting ‘Hallelujah!’.  I did think about entering in collaboration with a film student friend but I would probably never think of something so effective and simple (and I probably wouldn’t be able to rope in fashion-it people like Sevigny either….).  You can watch the mini movie on Style.com.
