I think we can all agree that Balenciaga’s S/S06 collection was nothing short of spectacular and dramatic in the truest sense of the word. A dress from that collection even turned the usually conservative Gwyneth Paltrow into something amazing. So when I saw this picture of Clemence Poesy, I was struck by the ease she posessed when wearing this Balenciaga smock dress. The way she paired it with footless tights and some flat sandals smacks of nochalence. You might recognise her as the actress who played Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Most people could easily let the Balenciaga wear them but Clemence has clearly grasped the dress by it’s reins and steered it towards her own direction.
Really love the dress in the second picture, I wouldn’t wear it with leggings though(because I can’t stand them) but I definately get what your talking about dressing it down and make it your own.
Yes! I thought the exact same thing when I saw the picture of Ms. Fleur Delacour at that party. Was going to blog about it- her dress is one of my faves from the collection (that curving black lace omg!) but you’ve beat me to it. Stunning. Rachel Weisz wore it several months ago while pregnant (can be seen on gettyimages).
