Floppy hats may not be very chic or very modern but they keep the sun off my face and I like peeking out from a wide brim. You don’t need to expertly perch a floppy hat on your head like you have to do with a veiled cloche or a beret. In that respect, I suppose it’s a very low-maintenance-English style hat. I bought this one in Barcelona. It’s made out of what could only be described as ‘crispy’ dusky pink crepe fabric and folds up into a sweet little bag too if you don’t want to lug your big floppy hat around. The texture is really unusual and very tactile too – perfect for pulling down the sides of the hat over my ears in a silly pout face.

your hair doesn’t look so long in your other pics. I guess you keep your hair pulled back. looks very nice with the hat.
