how come in london you have so many sample sale? in Paris, we have sale like this but it’s a very private thing. you have to have connections, and sometimes it’s not even enough…
Yes, sample sales used to be an inside, private thing and only people working in fashion knew about them but now with websites like Daily Candy, Fashion Confidential and Style Bible, people can get hold of sample sale information quite quickly. I just got back from the McQueen sale – I bought one thing. Most of the good stuff and stuff in my size had already gone – people were just grabbing things manically! The prices were quite good though £40-£100.

I love sample sales, but it does all get really manic and fraught I think!

I’m a member of Style Bible – got the free membership when it first started – now you have to pay (!!) – they have a sample sale diary for London! Lots of UK6-8 left or ridiculously big sizes. They might replenish for tomorrow though….

seems to be the best one mainly because it is quite funny and of course free. I also like the fact they list fashion evenings when you can drink free white wine have been to the space nk, discounts and free stuff a winner!
