Is that really you, Audrey?

For some unknown reason, I seem to get InStyle free in the post every month even though I haven’t subscribed (and if someone is sending me a phantom gift, they should really know better….).  It’s handy for having something to read on the train but the covers always put me off with their garish, obvious captions and big-haired celebs.  InStyle always seems to make every one of their cover girls have bigger hair than necessary and put them in shiny shiny dresses.  So, it was a pleasant surprise to wake up and find Audrey Tautou staring back at me from this month’s UK InStyle.  Not such a surprising choice when you think that she’s in what will be a worldwide box office smash – The Da Vinci Code, but a less conventional choice nonetheless with her very un-Hollywood styling and pixie haircut.  I also really like the Louis Vuitton ensemble she has on.  The multicoloured gems and emboirdery work well on the crisp white.  Well done InStyle, but I expect a return to the bouffant hair celeb next month when it miraculously turns up on my doorstep again.
