A few years ago, a friend bought Charlott Vasberg’s bags to my attention as she pined and yearned for her Twist bags. I kind of liked the bags in a half-hearted way and always stopped to touch them when I was in Selfridges (then the only place that stocked her bags). Fast forward a few years, and it seems Vasberg is not just a one-twist pony. Still producing those distinctive ‘Twist’ bags, she has also added the Suitcase Bag and the Old Schoolbag. The best thing I like about them is that whilst being of the highest quality, I don’t feel like I’m crying out ‘Look at me, I’m a label whore!’ when carrying Vasberg’s designs. Independent design without shoddy quality. The next best thing about them is the functionality. I don’t really like my bags with jingle jangle pretty bits. I like them tough, hard-wearing, with the ability to handle some blood, sweat and tears. (Kind of like how I like prospective boyfriends….hmmmm….note to self ‘Must look into the relationship between taste in men and bags….’)
The bags are gorgeous, I like the ‘toughness’. Is she well known, I’ve never heard of her before and her designs seem very desirableand accessible?
She’s not SUPER well-known but definitely quite accessible in London as her label is stocked all over the place now. It’s stocked in New York, LA and Asia too…. I’m glad she’s not a household name but I do think her bags hold up against the likes of Mulberry and Balenciaga.

The prices are not cheap – but I think well worth it for the design and quality you’re getting. Between £150-300 sterling.

Do they sell her bags in other places in London than in selfridges, and does anyone know the price of the smaller twistbags with the zippers and the bigger ones without – and maybe what size/measurements these have? Iv’e searched the web for this information, but so far nothing – please help! 🙂
