What is it about those colours, blue, white and red that make them so good together? Why is it that I have a huge abundance of stripy tops even though they supposedly make you look fat? Why is it that French women look so elegant in their flats and capri pants?
All these questions, I can’t answer but I just simply love all things stereotypically French – yes, you’re not really gonna be seeing a gazillion girls riding their bicycles in Paris wearing a beret, a stripy boat neck top, some capris and ballet slippers – but that look, the colours, the essence of it is just so perfect. Here’s my little homage to the typical French wardrobe staples.
(From left to right: Black wool beret, vintage navy nubby tweed jacket, Hermes scarf, H&M scarlet scoop neck top, ASOS black tulip skirt, Salvatore Ferragamo white bow flats // Vintage YSL red ruffle shirt, TS Boutique blue silk miniskirt, black leggings, gold chian belt, black snakeskin belt, blue patent flats, black patent bag // blue and white stripy top over white shirt, Pepe skinny jeans, pearl necklaces, red beads, gold chain necklace, blue ballet flats, Chanel bag, navy wool beret // burgandy velvet beret, Muji blue shirt, TS Unique black skirt w/ suspenders, vintage red plaited belt, burgandy leather clutch, Salvatore Ferragmo black bow flats)
