I do need to ask. It’s been burning my brain all day. Am I the only one who has already been searching for all things ‘pale’ and ‘blue’ and ‘lace’ on eBay post-Prada (shorten to P.P.?) Funnily enough, lace was something that I wanted to resurrect for the summer, from the days when I used to rummage The Shop, for vintage lace. However, trust Miuccia to put a dark spin on a material which I associate with finger sandwich picnics at Primrose Hill and macaroons eaten on a porch) but I guess the headstart won’t hurt as it’s a shame if pale blue lace doesn’t get worn in the sunlight and needs to be wintrified straight away.

Oh and since I was about THIS (measure about 5mm between index and thumb) close to buying some curved heeled Prada shoes from last fall, I will find a way to close that gap and buy a frilled leather shoe that were too frou frou the first time round when they emerged at Miu Miu AW07-8 but have hit the perfect note at Prada AW08-9 because the frill is more of a gentle, organic curve…
Prada was amazing, the whole antiquated feel of the setting and the clothing made me think of the Grizzly Bear Yellow House album cover.
Oh yes! Tho I was quite taken with the orange / camel lace combo… sigh… unfortunately i think ebay wasn’t quite up to speed and kept spewing out ‘sexy’ babydolls… not quite what i was looking for, but hey ;-D

Interesting. I hadn’t seen the Prada pale blue lace before just now, but just finished making a pale blue crinoline trimmed with lots of lace.
It’s weird when things coincide like that.

But I must admit I feel a teeny bit of a fraud because it was only upon clicking through the style.com picures that my lace outfit daydreams came into full swing.
I think I rather like the idea because lace had been one of those “looks” I previously very easily dismissed. but I’m very much excited about the tight lace raf simmons-esque structured shirt with pale wash baggy jeans, richard nichol sunglasses and off white ankle socks ideal that my brain has created..
now I shall see if the charity shops can deliver.

I too have been in search of pale blue lace garments on ebay! my lace fetish appears to be never ending, i’ve succumbed to buying pale blue lace and making things now though, cheaper and you can copy anythin you want and add a little something special to it!

My mum has a blue lacy dress that looks almost identical in pattern and colour to the Prada one…she got it made ages ago for a wedding, and maybe it’s time she passed it down to me. Mum??????
I really really regret not buying a pair of the curved heel satin Prada shoes from last season. I had them in my hands, on sale for super cheap, and decided that they were too played out and got a pair of clunky Chloe booties instead. But this fall, I am not letting those flying/flower petal shoes get away. no way.
