Crhee is the Word

It’s a lie I tell you if people are spreading malicious rumours that Susie Bubble doesn’t know a thing about ‘less is more’.  It’s a heinous fallacy I tells ya!   

Ok I may decry too much and I’ll admit that my tastes aren’t necessarily pre-disposed to ‘less is more’.  However that doesn‚Äôt mean I can‚Äôt yap about it.  I‚Äôm not going to preach that ‚Äòless is more‚Äô is the way to go because that WOULD be a blatant lie.  I‚Äôm just showing some appreciation for things that are superbly constructed yet they don‚Äôt bore me to tears.    Despite Christine Rhee‚Äôs educational background in architecture and wanting to incorporate that in fashion and also despite her previous stints working with Mary Ping, what CRHEE, her relatively new label produces is not structurally unwearable (re: Hussein Chalayan‚Äôs fascination with architecture and what that results in….) or overly quirky (as much as I like Mary Ping‚Äôs Slow and Steady Wins the Race, there is always a bit of a gimmick about the products…).  So the results are carefully considered separates and dresses, keeping the numbers to a bare minimum (I’m loving minimal collections if they are perfectly executed…).  Looking at her AW08-9 collection ‘The Isolator’ makes me want to go on a fashion diet.  No, not the body shaping kind of diet, but to shed away the excess that I love due to my my fashion gluttony…

    again, those trousers are delectable! are they two toned, or is the black bit detachable, like some kind of spat or chap?

  6. they’re two-toned. one piece. and super flattering. i have fairly short, muscular legs, unfortunately, but the trousers were really flattering on me and looked beautiful. the picture doesn’t really show the details, but there’s really subtle piping on the front of the thighs that’s nice too.
