It’s only been about a month or so since men’s shows and already things have infiltrated my brain in a way that I never expected to. Jil Sander’s AW08-9 collection had a dubious marble/stone crack print that both me and the boyf raised my eyebrows at as to whether anyone could pull it off. Though after closer inspection, it’s the usual routine of taking the pieces separately that makes this print definitely doable.
So when I was doing my monthly Bang Bang trawling and came across this early 90’s black and white scribble/stone crack printed top with a leather multi-strapped buckle feature at the side and was somehow drawn to it even though the Jil Sander collection didn’t immediately come to mind until the boyf pointed out the similarity. Honestly, sometimes I don’t even know the innerworkings of my own fash-head. Anyhow, a tenner later and I have myself a bit of a menswear to womenswear transition piece…

I love it! I was very interested in the marbling effect of the Jil Sander collection, and rightly so since it looks absolutely great as a separate! (: Great find!
Oh I love the print! 10 pounds is quite bargainous..
ooo there must be a certain pride about snagging something fw08/9 in march! not to mention how versatile it must be, i find it so hard to find tops i like that aren’t t shirts or twee blouses
Very nice!
Awesome effect, and I love how you layered the chaps over the sequin shorts!
Ooh. I really like it. Perhaps one time soon i will try and DIY this as i never got the time to do the whole Tye-Die thing.
Also can we exchange links?
Let me know 🙂
the resemblance between the shirt and the jil sander pieces is amazing. it looks nice the way you combined it, but as a full-body garment it’s a bit fierce i think.
fabulous score!
i adore your outfits with that shirt, more than the collection actually. i for one could never pull it off but it certainly looks good on you.
v. nice and thoose sequin hotshorts are quite something…!
I love that! It works well.
