I used to think it was some sort of odd fashion mafia movement that a lot of my favourite designers were all suspiciously sponsored by Swarovski, with something shiny shimmering at me in a lot of the collections in some shape or form. Maybe I'm just spooked because Nadja Swarovski has an uncanny taste in designers that includes a lot of my personal faves… in New York; Ohne Titel, Jeremy Laing and Julian Louie and then in London; Holly Fulton, Marios Schwab and Giles. So I should be thankful to the Swarovski team, their eye and their wad of cash going to the designers… in addition though I have also been getting enticed by the physical Swarovski crystals themselves. The Sart snapped me wearing these Emilio de la Morena Swarovski encrusted shorts with pink tights just as the sun was setting when throughout the day I was fascinated by the way the shorts were making light bouncing off the walls – ankle-twisting, leg flailing movements excluded this time round.
And so looking back at other Swarovski-aided collections, I turn to threeASFOUR, a presentation I missed as I arrived in New York the same night. A shame as I believe it might be one of their best collections of late, combining their recognisable cuts with a sort of streamlined severity, made far more interesting with the crystal-embroidered balaclavas, tights and gloves. The star piece is definitely the black geometric boned halterneck complete with black shimmering gauntlets, an ensemble that would be my superhero/ine of choice. Just call me Spark.

Grrreeat shorts. But am slightly fed up with ubiquitous crystals on runway, there solely because of wads of Swarovski cash & support. Wld prefer to see crystals used because designers actually WANTED to…LLGxx

Gorgeous sparkly stuff but I need for that poor Asian-looking model to eat.
I feel ridiculous for saying this, but their stuff is a little too “Logans Run” for me. Maybe if the pieces were worn separately, it wouldn’t seem so costumey. I bet you could wear the h*ll out of this stuff, though, you look great in everything.

While they certainly have a good pick of designers, I’m not usually a fan of these collections. Having said that, I do like the crystals adoring those threeASFOUR tights.
Btw, how long more till the ankle heals? Must be frustrating having to hobble around/ be on crutches… AND of heels (you can see where my priorities lie lol)
im beginning to find practicality in the crystal studded head pieces. i think the 3 as 4 white dresses would make an interesting wedding dress. those traditional strapless wedding dresses annoy me.
That threeasfour collection was amazing. Those leggings alone must have taken weeks to stone up!
