>> I'm missing the Faux Fur Fest that is the Chanel A/W 10-11 press day today (I believe many a UK blogger is going too, so I'll await reports from elsewhere… ). Elsewhere though I've been storing up these furry press day moments that if worn all together makes a monstrous yeti effect that would freak the hell out of the other half (he's a bit funny about fur…faux or real…) but individually is a textural treat that for me, was first spurred on by the Opening Ceremony x WTWTA collab. Kenzo A/W 10-11 furry backpack… I expressed some love for the Kenzo Homme accessories but this furry backpack is a highlight from the womenswear collection which actually needs a second look in person for me to grasp the goodness of it all…
I'm a big-eared bear…courtesy of Bernstock Spiers A/W 10-11 hat and matching paw gloves… don't ruffle my hair, but please do ruffle the hat…
I couldn't get a good picture of this Danielle Scutt A/W 10-11 'teddy bear' jacket… tufted black teddy bear fur which actually feels like a very worn-out and loved bear…
I've got a head full of thoughts on discovering brands that I wouldn't normally be into… Jesire being one them… this coat is from the Red collection and I love that it has a very simple collar-less shape with a pleasing grosgrain trimming running down the front….
There are varsity jackets a-plenty but upon closer inspection, this Vivienne Westwood Red Label ensemble is quite covetable… needs to be worn with a pair of pom pom knee high socks and some raised Buffalo-esque trainer shoes… well in my head anyway…
Future Classics' furry usage was restricted to mainly the sleeves where gorilla arms mingle with tweed creating jutting out raised shoulders that are tempered with a more solid fabric… I'm pretty sure the fur is faux by the by…

Chanel press day was ok, but I was there just to view their jewelry collection. We feature their jewelrys a lot in shoots but not their clothing for some reason.
Oh there was an incident not far from the Chanel HQ involving a taxi crashing a wall between two jewelry shops, probably a potential jewelry raid that somehow went wrong? Anyway I could be wrong LOL.
That Kenzo bag is great, somehow I missed it when I looked at the collection, maybe I should give it a second, closer look. I felt it was overall a strong collection and now I’m curious if there are more hidden jems like this that I missed the first time!
When you say ‘teddy bear fur’, you won’t mean REAL teddy bear fur….right?
Just to make it clear…I’m not against real animal fur UNLESS said animal is endangered..I’m all up for using rabbit fur/eating rabbit/etc, and I’m too much of a carnivore to be called a hippy….
