On the Run

>> I've spent a sleepless night trying to plot alternative routes of coming home, thinking that if I perhaps went to somewhere in Portugal or Southern Spain, I could somehow trek it back via train, hitch-hiking, bike and ferry (I'm finding it hilarious that people are buying random crappy bikes just to get on the ferry as a cyclist passenger and then being asked to demonstrate that they can indeed ride their blatantly-make shift bikes…).  I was also thinking though that a more merry way could be had with this potentially-scrummy travel adventure if I was swinging one of these Jasmine di Milo Tour Cases.  They've been continued on from S/S 10 and for A/W 10-11, the velvet shades have been upped with leather finishes added too.  The idea is that the cases are supposed to be the perfect size for overhead lockers on planes, not that, that's a main concern when you're going to be using as a bum-seat whilst you wait on the side of a dusty road, lamenting why no one will take you from Alicante to Nice.  They also have completely 360 degree turning wheels at the bottom should you wish to fashion some kind of mobile device where you bribe someone to pull you along with the chain.

This is of course the sort of nonsense that I yield when I've had zero sleep and done too many searches on Sky Scanner.

To hell with these fandangled travel plans.  These are neat little cases nonetheless.

  2. Shocking …. The hitch hiking could be certainly interesting… i can see it ‘around the world with susie bubble’- no planes allowed! Hope you find a way home those cases are incredible. good luck and i look forward to hear how your journey home unfolds! x

  3. Ahhh, good luck with the traveling! Those suitcases are so so incredible. I love suitcases and I really want one of those!

  4. Great cases and they would look stylish on the crappy bike scenario. It is sort of the resistance thing in reverse – instead of escaping into Spain, one needs to get out of Spain to get to France for a chance to get home to Blighty!

  5. but where or how can i get the cases??i can’t find it in the online store><

  6. Paper: The cases are unfortunately only available at certain Jasmine di Milo stockists… and they’re available on custom-order too… I’d contact the sales team…
    Expect Globetrotter prices me thinks!

Do you know if we’re going to the same hotel and where do you fly from at sunday?
    JFK or Newark?

  9. Cases are good, especially when your a public defender. I try the “army bag” look when I travel when I hitchhike, it seems to keep the loonatiks off “my back”!
