>> How can I let something like Miu Miu trapped in a bubble NOT go on the site. There's Miu Miu. And there are bubbles. Nuff' said. Like I said yesterday, my latest Japanese magazine splurge has given me mucho inspiration feeding with the latest issue of So-En proving a winner. The photographer Takashi Miezakai of this editorial/advertorial (the eight pages of solo brand devotion in Japanese magazines somehow doesn't come off as odious as one might think) was definitely influenced by the original bubble-lover Melvin Sokolsky whose exhibition at Hyeres in 2008 I enjoyed immensely. Not so coincidental either that the original 60s styling of Sokolsky's photographs have slightly more cartoonish echoes in the Miu Miu collection. Ah to be in a bubble, plastic, Photoshopped or metaphorical is a good feeling indeed. Beyond my own self-projected and slightly silly connections with bubbles, I seem to be enjoying Miu Miu's A/W 10-11 collection, the more I see it in person and in editorials. I'm finally nodding my head, finding my inner gogo-dancer and doing an a warped version of a twist-and-shout dance in my head, because I'm seeing sense in the pastiche-like 60s vindications of the collection. Flare ends of trousers that look like they have been attached on as a bitpart? Unapologetically chunky and slightly naive-looking embroidery? A boob tube that looks ripe for endless layering possibilities? Riiiiiight on…

And it all started with a style bubble…
I recently was just looking at bubble fashion too but with the quirky film Bubble Boy as inspiration (http://the-style-hideaway.blogspot.com/2010/06/bubbly-bubbly.html). The Miu Miu photo series is just incredible, suppose some people inherently see fashion as being in it’s own inclusive bubble. great post. x
Wow โรดโข incredible photos.
Wow. The pictures and collection are too amazing for words <3<3<3
Wow, the bubbles make normal places look like from a fairy tale. Awesome thing.

this makes me really, really sad. we still don’t have a miu miu store here in dubai. we had one, but then they moved and never opened again. to see pictures like that is truly a torture for me since they make me wanna go straight to the next miu miu store. think i have to book a flight… ๐ this photo campaign is beautiful! from which magazine is it? i will have to try to find it (torture or not).

flared skinny trousers are at the top of my wishlist! sure they’ll only look good on very long skinny legs with small hips but hopefully the stores will bring something out!
I love these pictures. I adore the whole vintage look to them. Very cute. i gotta love the second picture the most though. That yellow looks beautiful on her.
