I’m trying to put together a video montage of some bits of the RCA MA fashion graduate show because as predicted, my photos are of terrible quality and moving images are a slight improvement (be prepared for shoddy camcorder skills!). However, here are some some pics from the static exhibition displaying the work of Camilla Skovgaard and Heather Blake. The former has already garnered plenty of press for her shoes and is marked as one of THE ones to watch. I much prefer the ones Camilla have on display at the RCA show to the ones on her website but still, it’s all very promising looking! You can’t see too clearly from the pic but the craftsmanship of the Heather Blake shoes (right pic) is gorgeous! The fact that you could touch the shoes made them all the more enticing. I’m always on the lookout for shoes that are just the right side of unique without being gimmicky and these were definitely good-quirky!

I think the Camilla Skovgaard shoes on display at the RCA are from her forthcoming A/W06 collection which means they aren’t available yet. Her spring summer collection is available to buy from her website now http://www.camillaskovgaard.com/collection01.html
