Preparing for LFW

New York Fashion Week has flown by leaving me with only an inkling as to what will make the trend boards for spring 2007 and as London Fashion Week starts this week, I don’t think I’ll be none the wiser afterwards either.  London Fashion Week with the bulk of it’s schedule resting on a lot of new/up and coming names, it will be unlikely that they make the catwalk roundups but still, it’s my second favourite fashion week because there’s always an element of expecting the unexpected.  Of course this season, London Fashion Week’s profile is taken up a notch by shows like Emporio Armani, the return of Biba (tickets are like gold dust!), Zandra Rhodes, Christopher Kane’s debut solo show (his graduate collection caught the eyes Donatella Versace) and Gareth Pugh’s sophomore collection.   This time, I will be attending some shows, mostly Off schedule which I’m looking forward to as that’s really what I think London Fashion Week is about and it’s fantastic that London’s lesser known labels get to have their own shows.  I’m now only praying that I don’t look like a complete misfit as London’s fashion crowd all gather up.

  4. Hi, I am having a hard time understanding how to get tickets to fashion week. The websites are difficult to navigate and I find them a little vague. It is simple to get tickets to the buying events, but what about the runways? Perhaps you could do a post on how to attend the shows/events!?!?
