When I saw Nikicio Vol 2. collection, ‘Pour Homme’, despite their initial proclamation that it is for the man who are ‘not shy about wanting to look fine’ (and why should they be???), the collection was peppered with many unisex pieces and is probably with the right sizing and belting up, entirely unisex. I thought I’d be be a bit crude and literal when drumming in my point so I did some hasty rubbish photoshop just to demonstrate how much the whole lookbook reminded me of an ‘off-duty’ model look. I don’t exactly mean skinny jeans, vests and a beanie but more like the relaxed fit of things and the simplicity that I tend to find compliments models well because frankly, they don’t need the fussier stuff to make them look good…oh and since I barely do any model commentary due to my complete lack of knowledge, I’ve gone with a few of my faves here…
Off Duty…

this made me laugh so hard. you’ve got a point.
HA this is too good. it is entirely unisex.
Androgynes dressing is fine indeed, this makes me long for a crisp white shirt.
very Alexis Mabille, the earlier days.
Nice pictures. 🙂
But I totally see your point, those skinny ilttle models would look good in these clothes.
A career as a graphic designer is surely only a moment away 🙂
In all seriousness though… defo uni-sex and totally loving your spot!
Stuff looks great
i want some of it, any idea where to buy>
I actually think the clothes look like they are for women more than for men. Very nice indeed.
definitely agree, i also think guys stuff is sometimes more preferable because shops often cater mainly towards the big boobs and hips of the average woman and so androgynous clothes can’t be truly as masculin as we may want
Wow, those are fantastically unisex! I love it!
i love this. my favorite is the white shirt third down on the left that looks like has an attached scarf… would be so delicious to wear.
Very unisex.
I love the look of blazers and skinny pants/leggings.
And your photoshopped heads are funny and effective!
Im gonna agree and disagree with you. Almost all of the outfits look Unisex , EXCEPT for the last one which looks 100% like Womenswear.
I usually look at the pictures first and then read articles. It was funny becuase at first I didnt notice that you had photoshopped womens heads onto the clothes
belt up!!! dammit. at first i really thought that they were women’s clothes. lol
It looks like bryanboy!
I really like the sheer shirts!
Very well done. Looks very ’80s to me.
Your Photoshopping skills just made me laugh out loud. And you make a good point.
I’m kind of prefering the pieces on your make-shift models actually!
Beautiful clothes. I love the androgynous look and I adore the white see through shirt with the playful big buttons at the top of the post!
xox
Choubelle
I love the clothes, def unisex. and nooo i do not think any of the models look bryanboy…….is it just because they are asians?
I see The Stange! Nice choice.
/Cillian.
the clothes actually look much more interesting on pretty models 😛
Sheer blazer is definitely cool and begs to be thrown over something fluorescent (but maybe that’s just me)
I’d totally wear any of these pieces.
Not sure how much of that I would wear myself, but I love the designs! I so want a long cardigan for winter!
I love this collection! The model reminds me of Bryan Boy? Inspired much?
I’d love to wear all of them!
nice photo editing nice one..
when things are well tailored and designs are classic i think all of us can wear them and we would all look great! well that’s what I think
Where or where can I get these clothes??
brillant!
haha that’s cute. yes it does look a lot like the off duty model look.
Love the literal translation, unisex is super sexy. I’d have to say I prefer the first 2 on the male, last 2 on the girl.
Call me old fashioned, but there are few men who look good in a dress. Very few.
